Just got to play a few games in a tourney at a local walmart. Before that story though....

Brownies; Colt is 74? 77? Moves well... poor short accuracy rating. medium accuracy is 70 deep is 71. Hillis is a monster and unstoppable in the redzone. 99 truck. 89spd 91 acc 91 stiff arm and 90's brk tackle. Watson and Moore are good. Little is solid. Rubin is ok, Taylor got pushed around alot. Roth was at WLB, Jackson in the middle Fujita at SLB. Obviously the game wasn't updated. Defense as a whole is weak up the middle. I mean, guy playing as Baltimore had Rice break a couple 20 yard runs on iso's.


Thoughts on the game and the tourney. The deep ball scares me. I backed off coverage a few times playing 2 deep and a couple times the WR still comes down with it. DB's don't turn to run quick enough unless their names are Nnamdi or Revis. Safeties don't seem to run deep enough either. Hopefully that'll be tweaked fast.

Overall gameplay isn't too bad. Play fakes are hit and miss much like NCAA. So rollouts are a nice thing to use.

I won $100 & a gift certificate for the price of a new copy. Gave up 13 points in 2 games. First was 31-3. Little trash talking 19 year old kept telling me how Vick was going to run all over the place before we even started. Didn't work out so well for him. (I played as the Gmen this game)

Next & final game (had a first round bye) my opponent was Baltimore. I figured why not and played as Cleveland. He abandoned the run early for some reason. I hit a couple passes to Watson and a great deep ball against Cover 1 to Little. up 17-0 halftime. He came out first possession and scored. I made a couple adjustments (moved Mike Adams to FS) offense stalled just outside the redzone. 2 FG's made it 23-7 before the 4th. He got one more FG. I ran the ball. 23-10 final. Easy money.

I got the EA pass thing, so I have been playing this since the weekend and I actually love this game. It has the first time that I enjoy Madden more than NCAA since the 360 came out. I am in my third season using Denver and after rescuing Sanzenbacher from the FA in the first week of preseason of my first year, he has blossomed into a great option in the slot for me. Hands down better than my other guys.

OH, Pryor is in the game even on the early release thing. I picked him up too to see how he would fare.... while he can take off and run extremely well, I found that both he and Tebow have really long throwing motions and I really struggled to use either of them effectively. This was after I had gotten rid of Orton. So that left me with Quinn as my best option. I just drafted a QB who should be great.

lets see, OH Bryan Urlacher became a cap casualty and I was able to get him in this last offseason. He is old but can still play.

I like the way Free agency works now, it is much faster and fluid.

I LOVE the undrafted FA availability and starting with 80 man rosters. The cut days are fun to really dig at your roster, find the guys who arent cutting it, then going through to see who was cut from other teams to see if there is anyone who can help you. Preseason has almost been MORE fun than the regular season.

I havent seen any really frustrating glitches or quirks within the game that have been terrible... No constant fumbles, nothing like that. The only thing that has been frustrating, but in a good way, is the hot and cold streak thing. Try passing even remotely well when your QB is on a cold streak and get back to me. You combine that with a cold line...... You had better just play good defense.

I've played two preseason games, and I can easily say that Madden crushes NCAA this year, and it's not even close. It's fun to pass. Even when I throw interceptions, I know they should have been interceptions. I started a Browns franchise and signed Troy Smith and T. O. to one-year contracts.

Seriously thinking about picking this up. I wonder if someone else who own's ncaa could send out draft to other classes to be imported Madden?

Newegg is has the game for $10 off as well.
