Lost to the Packers by 3 because we couldn't stop the clock even though we were in FG range (inside the 10).

Only reason it was close is because we knocked Rodgers out for 8 weeks. He was like 22-26 with like 280 yards passing through 2quarters.

Well after watching this weekend at least you know that can be realistic

Yeah, it used to be you could press and hold square on PS3 and it would run the hurry up to spike the ball.

Now, I can't do that. I can hold triangle and run the hurry up, but spiking the ball isn't an option.

EDIT: Just found out it's circle that hurry up and spikes. Shit. That cost me a win earlier.

Well I didn't have time anyways. I was at their 40 (with about 12 seconds left) and threw a long go route inside their 10. After he was tackled there was only like 4 seconds left. Lineman were still back at the 30 when time expired. Lol

That's good to know for the future though (the hurry up and spike)

And to be honest this is the most fun (outside of online dynasties with other bpers) I've had playing a football video game in a long time.

I'm really enjoying only playing "coach mode". Makes it more realistic, and enjoyable. Or it's the fact that I'm starting with one of the worst teams in the league lol. But I hope the browns CPU controlled players start sucking more. I was hoping for a top 5 draft pick.

Ah, the old "slow as fuck lineman" curse

The Browns secondary is so hit and miss in this game, and I think a lot of it has to do with the linebackers all being very poor in coverage. Their coverage rating s are all pretty bad, and it allows all that underneath crap in the zone (Mingo especially. Yeesh is he bad in coverage.)

Haden is hilariously good when the computer tries to go at him. I was playing the Bears, and Kruger/Sheard had been hammering Cutler every play. He went to "Cold and Trigger Happy" in the game and threw 5 picks, 3 of them to Haden. It was beautiful.

That's the nice thing about having a 90+ CB on roster. I can man him up all game and roll coverages to other WR's or TE's.

The Browns pass rush is pretty good. True to the game though, the Oline can't make holes for shit and I usually average less
than 4ypc with Trent.

Haden is leading the league in INT's for me. And I think you're right about the LB coverage. Down the middle or if they stretch the LB's to the sidelines, it's almost a reception every time.

Kruger has been an absolute beast for me. And Robertson has been unbelievable if he blitz's.

Trent was averaging 111 per game (through 6 games) before he went down, but only 2 TD's on the year LOL

The Tebow-Ballard connection has been coined the "Tallard". (Wait, did I really just say that? Yikes)

The only thing I have done to "manipulate" the game is to audible the RB out of a route about 3/4 of the time. I found that the QB was not targeting the WR's as much as he should, and just dumping it off. The RB's still average about 3-4 receptions a game including screens.

Yeah, the computer LOVES throwing checkdowns.

I've actually had a lot of success running with Trent, although I'm not playing on All-Madden (I'm a level below that). He has 29 td's on the year, but I rarely throw it, and almost never in the endzone. Weeden sucks so hard...yet he's 3rd in Pro Bowl voting  He's at 10 TD's and 3 INT's.

Dumb question, but is there a way to sim games individually before you play yours in CFM? Like if I play a 4 PM game I'd like to sim the 1 PM games ahead of my kickoff...can you do that as Commish or do you have to play yours and then wait to sim at the end of the week?

Only thing I can think of is before you play, go check league schedule and see if you can sim individual games. That's my only guess. If you test this, let me know. I'd like to see results ASAP rather than after advancing!

Quite a few of my friends and I started up a Connected Franchise on Madden 25 after freezing issues forced us to quit NCAA 14. We're in our third season, and just added an 8th team.

It has been an absolute blast so far.
