Mel Kiper (official thread of hair gel)

KIPER HIGH ON BUCKS. Folks, it seems to me that Ohio State might be good next year.

Is this team the most decorated preseason team ever? Because it feels like it, and I — the man on the couch with the Wifi connection – do not like it.

So, in summary, according to Kiper, we have:

Offense: #1 RB, #1 OG, #1 OT, #1 TE, #3 QB, #4 WR
Defense: #1 DE, #1 DT, #1 OLB, #3 OLB, #3 S

I may have read it wrong but I thought those rankings were not consolidated across all years of college eligibility. For example, Washington may have been his #1 Senior DT but not the overall #1 DT (although he may have been his #1 overall DT anyway).

Correct. Kiper always has Seniors in their own position groups (since they're certain to all be in the draft) then a second chart of Sophs & Jrs.

In the Adolphus Washington example, he is the #1 Sr DT, but is realistically way, way behind Robert Nkemdiche and A'Shawn Robinson at DT on draft boards right now.
