yeah, MR. I barely ever take any big shots to win games is an MVP... :roll1:

Your assertion that Lebron is a laughable MVP candidate is absurd. But this is a valid reason for why I voted for Nash over Lebron. Had LBJ hit a game winner or two in the games where he had that opportunity, then it would be had to argue that he wasn't the MVP. But he hasn't done that, so I will argue that he's not the MVP.

To say that he's not a candidate though, shows that you're obviously biased and just trying to stir the pot. :tibor:

Thats Tibor for ya. he saw that he got a rise out of some Cavs fans the other day in the Cavs thread and he thinks it would be nice to try it again.

Honestly he probably hasnt seen LBJ play as much as we have and has no idea, but just trying to stir the pot like you said.

If LBJ had Hughes on his team he would be staring at that honor, but I guess the same could be said for Nash too.

When I watch the Cavs every game I see a Great player that makes plays in every way possible for his team. He passes, he rebounds, he scores and he has recently picked up his defense.

And as for the last shot comment just a week ago against the TWolves and I forget the other team they wre down one with inside of one minute and he drove to the hole and put his team up in both games. I know these arent buzzer beaters but they are game winners. And just on Monday he put up 44 against a top 3 team in the league against one of the best defenders in the league Bruce Bowen.

I didn't say he was a laughable candidate. I said :slappy: to the fact that he is the MVP. He isn't. He's basically a Kobe clone that isn't as good as Kobe.

<!-- / message -->

So Bryant has attempted almost 200 more shots and only has 22 more makes than LBJ.

LBJ has about 100 more rebounds than Kobe

LBJ has over 100 more assits than Kobe

And Kobe has him by 140 points.

And if you want to compare teammates I would saying as far as scoring go they are pretty even, Cavs minus Hughes that is.

The difference is that LBJ is a much more efficient player than Kobe. LBJ is the closest player in the league to averaging a triple double a nite.

All Kobe has is his scoring, but he jacks up more shots than LBj.

I think after looking at these stats that I am sure of my vote for LBJ over Kobe.

Hell Kobe isnt even the best player in LA IMO. That goes to Brand.

And then you talk about homerism and go with Billups. Yes he is a very good player and an allstar, but he plays with some studs, and if he went down the Pistons would still be good. Can't say the same about the Cavs.

Your exact quote doesn't clarify that Tibor. But it doesn't matter anyway. To argue that Lebron for MVP is :slappy:is to say that he isn't even qualified to be a candidate. But I guess that's just me making sense, and I don't want to confuse you.

Billups? Best Player. Best Team. Would seem to fit. But that team doesn't have the best record in the league without Rip Hamilton. That team doesn't have the best record in the league with Rasheed Wallace. That team doesn't have the best record in the league without Ben Wallace. In fact, without either of those 3 that I mentioned, I'm not sure the Pistons are better than an average playoff team. And I don't mean to slight Tayshaun, who is essential as well, but you're talking about 4 players that are ALMOST equally important to that team.

Lebron is the only player on the Cavs that could play for the Pistons, let alone start (well maybe Z as backup center). He's carrying a few borderline NBA players on his back, and he's doing by ways other than just scoring (see Kobe). He actually gets those players involved. Now I'm starting to think I want to change my vote to Lebron. Well, I'll wait to see if he can lead this team through the home stretch first.

If Lebron shot the ball as much as Kobe than he would have just as many if not more points. Its not hard to score 4 more points than someone when you take at least 10 more shoots a night.

It's actually 4.2, but Lebron is only 3.9 ppg behind Kobe. If Lebron took the same number of shots as Kobe he'd score .1656 more pts a game (given his 48.4 FG%) for what its worth. Stat boy better give me some points.
