Game Thread Minnesota 7, tOSU 38 (Oct 24, Noon, ESPN)

I'm sure other's have seen this - but so far this is playing out just like the 2005 season.

Lost to a big time OOC opponent our 2nd game by a slim margin - loss on the road game before our homecoming. If I remember correctly our game after Penn State that year was Sparty - ended up being a hard fought victory.

Bottom line is our offense starting finding an identify and Troy really grew into the QB position.

I know its a big wish, but man would it be sweet to have that type of lightbulb just "click" against Minny.

Not quite. We lost to a 11-1 Penn State team that went to the Orange Bowl and won. We did not lose to a team that was 1-5. Key is the offense was starting to find an identity. If you had to ask me, we've regressed as the year has gone on.

I understand that, I'm just saying - regardless of our conference loss, the number of losses is still the same under the same amount of games and again to a big OOC opponent at home.

That's all...

Troy was certainly not progressing. He struggled vs Texas but threw a gorgeous ball to Holmes. He struggled more against sdsu, and his turnovers sealed osu's date in happy valley. Iowa was a bit of an exception as they threw simpler coverages at troy.

Are you one of those guys who makes crazy, unrealistic predictions every week so that once or twice a year you can quote yourself and thump your chest, without pointing out your horrible overall record?

I love those guys.

What's wrong with being an optimist, brah?

Win or lose, I'll be in the Shoe from when the band marches in till Carmen Ohio cheering for TP and the Buckeyes with all I got. :)

It was a perfect storm for Purdue last week. I expect the boys will be fired up and the turnovers will go our way this week. And Ryan Kerrigan won't be playing for Minny.(3 sacks,2 forced fumbles)

They call it homecoming for a reason. Anyone showing up to the game like I will be on Saturday better be going to cheer whoever is put into the game. Let's back these kids in a way that can only be done at Ohio State. Let's make them feel proud again to wear the Scarlet and Gray. They need us to be there for them not to be walking on eggshells thinking they may get boo'ed. This is the time they need all of the fans. Let's step up.... Let's welcome them home.

GO BUCKS!!! F*** Minnesota!!!!!

Was the Big Ten team cycle a reason why Minny is playing in the Shoe for the second straight year? I know most Big Ten teams alternate venues for games, and I was curious as to if there was any specific reason for Minny playing in Ohio Stadium again this season? Maybe construction with the on-campus venue?

They are afraid of us.

"There wouldn't be a problem with you guys coming back to Columbus this year, would there?"

"No Gene, that would be uh...... be fine, please don't get angry.... you pick... it's fine..just fine."

Glen Mason scheduled these games back when he was angling for the head coaching job
