Game Thread Minnesota 7, tOSU 38 (Oct 24, Noon, ESPN)

I think it is a cycle thing. The last time I remember this happening was playing Penn State twince in a row in Happy Valley back in the Cooper days (or very early Tressell).

Unfortunatly, I don't have a very good feeling about this one. I didn't see much to encourage me last week. I think Pryor's legs are taking a beating from all the cutting and submarine tackles he's taking, he seems to be protecting his legs.

I haven't seen anyone mention this, but are the fullbacks doing their job? asides from Boren's TD catch, I can't remember a single play from any of them.

Yeah, that was 94-95. It gets addled when teams rotate on and off the schedule, so every once in a while teams make the same trip twice in a row.

Fullbacks don't tend to record the most memorable plays, and we haven't really been running a lot of i formation

Depends on who you ask. If you ask any number of fans, well.. then.. yeah.. if you ask the Coach (or at least listen to his presser) then no.

Personally, I think there's been some over reaction among our fan base to a really dreadful game. Not to make excuses, as Pryor definitely needs to get better in a number of areas, and it's not just the Purdue game that he's performed poorly. But, I think people would be well served to remember that the people Pryor is compared to - Vince Young, being the chief example- were not outstanding from day one. In fact, VY was a redshirt Junior with a rep of being a liability throwing the ball before he became the VY everyone thinks about. Again, point is that Pryor needs to get better, but he's not in serious danger of losing his job right now.

OSU played at Wisconsin in both 2002 and 2003. I remember the 2002 game, but seemed to have blocked out whatever happened in 2003.

Matt F. Schaebert? For real? :sick1:
