No kidding. 3 goals in the first 25 minutes is absolutely unacceptable. That being said, Tijuana looks like a really strong squad. If I don't have an MLS squad to pull for in the Final, I think I'll be pulling for Herc Gomez's squad.... Again. (Santos last year)
I mean, they looked good, but it looked like Rich Rodriguez organized the defense the first 30 minutes. That was awful.

Was there not a second CONCACAF game on last night?

Either way, tonight features two more Champions League matchups. San Jose travels to Mexico to take on Toluca in the 2nd leg, with the aggregate being 1-1. San Jose needs to come out strong and get an away goal early. Game is on Fox Sports 2 at 8PM

The second matchup is between Sporting KC and Cruz Azul. Kansas got the surprise upset at Livestrong Park last week, with a 1-0 victory. Game is also on Fox Sports 2 at 10PM

There wasn't...Panama and Costa Rica play on the 20th, after the US games are over.

Last night was quite brutal for the MLS teams in the CONCACAF Champions League.

San Jose and Toluca went to ET, and eventually PK's to decide the winner. Each of the first attempts from each team missed. Both teams made their next 5 PK attempts and San Jose had their 7th PK attempt go off the cross bar. Game over, Toluca advances.

Sporting KC got butt plugged last night. No better way to put it. Cruz Azul at home is a scary thing to think about. The final score was either 5-1 or 6-1.

I thought that they passed a CONCACAF law that stated no team from San Jose could ever try to score...it was like they didn't get the ball, didn't want the ball, didn't try to get the ball...they played for PKs from like 30 minutes in. Didn't work.

Yeah, really not impressed with SJ's squad this year. It's essentially the same team as last year, and that team relied heavily on Wondolowski's ability to score. He seems to have lost that form (at least for now). Would love to see him find his form for obvious reasons, preferably before June.

I'm going to sound like I'm complaining, but the MLS has got to adopt a different season schedule, or the CONCACAF needs to move the start of the Champions League. I'm seeing all of the Mexican squads in mid season form, scoring goals as such. And then you are seeing these better than average MLS squad looking absolutely terrible. I have a hard time believing it's a disparity in talent now (maybe except for some of the defensive players, advantage Liga MX).

As for this weekend, the matchups to watch seem to be Montreal-Seattle, Toronto-DC United, Colorado-Portland, and Columbus-Philly (of course).

Then there's this for Seattle: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...-await-word-possible-suspension-clint-dempsey

Seattle Sounders in limbo as they await word of possible suspension for Clint Dempsey

IMO, it should definitely be a suspension.

Must be a TFC fan recording that.

I hate to say anything, but Dempsey is pretty much a dirty bitch out there a lot of the time. He has a bad temper and he does shit like this periodically. I like the guy for the US and all...but that's about it.

NASL News...well, it's more just me. Going to Indy Eleven's inaugural match tomorrow. I'm pumped- sold out crowd of 11,000 get to watch professional soccer kickoff in downtown Indianapolis on a gorgeous Saturday. I'll be tailgating and then joining the Brickyard Battalion in the supporters group for an exciting 90.

It's gonna be special.
