I'm pumped- sold out crowd of 11,000 get to watch professional soccer kickoff in downtown Indianapolis on a gorgeous Saturday. I'll be tailgating and then joining the Brickyard Battalion in the supporters group for an exciting 90.

It's gonna be special.

Fuuuuck. 4 for 4 on sellouts but this team cannot get points. 0-4-2 (0-2-2) at home. So disappointing.

But the fans and atmosphere have been great. And I continue to get wastey-faced each time on a beautiful downtown night. WHeres the drunk thread?

Indy Eleven march on to play the Crew in the next round of the US Open Cup.

Crazy to think this is even possible. 2 favorite domestic clubs squaring off. I love professional soccer being in my city. Fans and games have been incredible even if the results have not. Seriously, if anyone wants to take in a great match atmosphere- hit me up and come to Indy, my treat.

For anyone looking for a late-night soccer fix, I highly highly recommend checking out the Seattle Sounders v Portland Timbers tonight. ESPN2 10pm EST.

Return of Dempsey and Yedlin to the league-best Sounders team. But those Pacific Northwest games between Portland/Seattle/Vancouver are a treat- best atmospheres in MLS and usually an entertaining style.

Seriously, I love what the Sounders have going on in Seattle. Filling an NFL stadium with chanting fans for 90 minutes. Good for that city and for soccer in the States. I dream of that extending more and more across the league.

One of the best soccier cities in the world is a fair statement. Doesn't have the longstanding nature that others do but based on it's current state, stadium, attendance, atmosphere, etc. it certainly has to be up there. The comments from the players after the Portland game seemed to back that up.
