Most expensive Buckeye ticket ever?

I would be VERY surprised if you couldn't get a single ticket for the game for less than $300 from a scalper on gameday. Mili, I know several of the scalpers there...while they're in it for the profit, I'm positive I can get you the best deal possible on the day of the game. I also recommend you take this path....the tix will be cheaper. Even if they're not, you will still be able to spend the extra money and get them the day of the game - I don't really see the downside of waiting until gameday. PM me if you're interested in meeting me before the game, and I'll see what I can get you. I will say that if you want more than a single, the price will go up per ticket, but I'm confident I can get you the best deal out there (at least from a scalper) for a single.

I agree that singles are a different bird 1-2 hours before gametime....pairs or more will still be pricy just before gametime.

Notre Dame in '95 was stiff, but I got a single for $100 in the North end zone.

My maximum price for a ticket was the NC game of 2002, at $375.....that was until the upcoming Texas game. The good news is that I have 2 months to forget about the price. There really is no better investment in today's market.

i was in section 24, row 45 seat 5 at the Fiesta against Miami... we spent $1500 for three tickets... i guess that wasn't TOO bad considering we were in the lower section, though we were near the goal line... at any rate, the only gripe that i could concieveably have was that all the scoring took place at the other end of the field, well, until the 2nd OT... i had a GREAT view of the 2nd OT...

Most paid for a ticket-

I forgot about the NC game- I guess I was thinking about "normal" games in the 'Shoe. I got my Fiesta bowl tix as part of a tour package, so I don't know the actual price. But my buddy and I did a little figuring, and we think the tickets were probably between 300-400 bucks. Worth every penny....

I need a veteran buyer to help me out. I graduated in 1974 and the only game I've been able to get back to since was Art Schliester against Ill. when both qbs threw for a ton of yards. It was great to be back.

Anyway, back to my quandry. I want to fly back this year and show my family why I love game days in Columbus so much. Where do I go to buy three together on Saturday and how much should I expect to pay for games like Illinois or Michigan State?

Thanks.

Getting three together is gonna be tough. Most times you can easily find tickets in either pairs or fours. You could buy four and then sell the single, but you'll lose money on that deal, as singles are always cheaper (per ticket) than pairs or more. My guess, if we're undefeated at the point, is that Illinois or Mich. St. would probably go for about $150-$200 per ticket.

My game for alumni tickets (actually my mother's) is Texas.
Haven't gotten anything yet. Does this mean I'm screwed and they're changing the game I get? When should I really start to worry?

TIA
You should hear something about 2-3 weeks before the game. Until then don't worry.

By the way....it's good to be a student and not have to worry about if i get a ticket or not :)

You were at the 49-42 shoot out between Art Schlichter and Dave Wilson in 1980? That was wild.

I scalped tickets to the scUM game in 1998. I got two B-deck tickets from a guy near the Lane Avenue bridge about 90 minutes before kick-off. They cost me $150 each. I see scalpers in that same area every time I go to C-Bus for a game (2-3 times a year).

I plan on scalping 2 for the SDSU game this year. I already have MSU tickets on order (my alumni tix this year); about $60 each (face value).

Good luck.

I was at that game, getting awfully nervous watching Wilson throw for 621 yards while almost wiping out our nice halftime lead. A lot of clock-watching and wondering whether our LB's were ever going to cover the short routes!
