The part about athletes, was that in previous versions you could only recruit them during the offseason.

To confirm what you said: kickers, punters, and athletes could not be recruited during the season. Just in the off-season. (That's for PS2, anyway.)

Attitudes/trouble makers are no longer an issue in next-gen.

On the 360, athletes can be recruited during the season this year. They could not be recruited during the season last year on the 360 version. I don't know about the Xbox or PS2 versions.

I didn't look into kickers or punters though. I don't recall seeing any though when looking through the lists of prospects.

recruiting sounds a lot like the recruiting on ncaa basketball this season...huge databases where you can swap guys on and off

Sounds alright but hopefully you can edit equipment during a dynasty...I don't know why on earth they wouldn't let you do that? I get sick of my DL having DB masks and I do like being able to switch the equipment around. I pre-ordered mine but if you can't edit equipment, I just may take it back if I don't like the new features. The recruiting sounds cool though

Did they get rid of that stupid and annoying feature when you are fielding a punt and the view goes down to field level??

According to the demo, that feature is still there (panning down to field level on fielding punts).

One question... is our "new" Ohio Stadium in the game with the field turf (aka new end zone paints)?

It was in the screenshots, with the endzone's flipped (wrong end for 'Ohio State').

Not being able to edit class is a pretty big negative as is no equipment edits within dynasty. I guess that means everyone will have a visor five years into that mode. I can't figure why class edit was removed.

Yeah I'm disappointed you can't edit class. EA always messes up with the rosters and has too many guys class messed up. Be nice to just correct those mistakes.

I'm picking up the game tonight at midnight. I'm off work tomorrow too so it could be an all nighter for me.

I think I read that in a thread this morning about the PS3. I haven't tried it on the 360 (I've focused mostly on gameplay and recruiting), I just relayed what the scroll said at the bottom of the screen. I'd also have to think that things like jersey numbers can also be edited. It upsets me to see retired numbers running around on the field. I think 45 and 27 were given to 2 of the Frosh players, so I always change those anyhow.

I bought mine on my lunch break. But now I'm back at work, so I haven't gotten a chance to play, yet. But I did look at the destruction book.

It's looking like on PS2 nothing has changed with this. I'm not a fan of the discipline crap. I know - it's more realistic that way. But if I wanted realism, I'd go rip guys out of the cars, myself and drive over pedestrians, rather than play Grand Theft Auto. But no big deal - I've found a way around needing to suspend players and stuff. I'll just stick to my old tricks.

It's also looking like nothing much has changed for Campus Legend mode for PS2. But that's OK - I stick to Dynasty mode, anyway.

The book doesn't get into recruiting at all, so I don't know whether that has changed. But it looks like you can do some kind of summer training for the players in the offseason. I'll look into that.
