dude theres no way. i played 3 games against michigan and got destroyed each time because of the **** button swap. plus i suck at passing. but i blame the button swap.
I found the problem...I'm used to playing on All-American and Heisman on '05. When I started '06, it was on Varsity. That makes me feel better, I was ready to take the game back because it was so easy!

With respect to my stats....They were way inflated because I made sure it got thrown to Ginn almost every time. There were a lot of plays that I would just send him deep, lob it up and user catch it. He's so fast that it got too easy. I'm hoping this will be fixed when I go to All-American and Heisman.

I struggle with the button swap too, but to try to cancel out a lot of the effect I played cover two and controlled my safety. I had 4 INT's on the game. I need to get used to playing other positions though, I noticed DL is a lot more fun to play than in previous versions.

All scUM's points were off of big plays (Two long TD's, 1 FG and a safety because I was trying to pad stats and throw Ginn a 99 yarder)...but 91 points is obscene, I struggled to score half that on 05.

I really like how they made it much harder to throw bombs, yet if the DB gets burned and is trailing the WR, he rarely knocks it away by jumping.

One thing they still need to change is that if the WR is catching an easy pass where he's standing still or moving at a walking pace, they should not drop the ball. Maybe if its a freshman, but Santonio Holmes should not continue to drop extremely easy catches. However, I can live with them dropping passes when flying at full speed, or when I throw it before the route is finished.

One really bizarre glitch I've seen twice now, on a fumble a guy can bend over and scoop it up, yet be down upon picking it up. One time I fumbled a punt deep in my territory and their guy scooped it up at the 1 and ran it in, yet they had it 1st and goal at the 1. Happened again on a fumble by one of their WRs that I scooped up.
Well, the first one may not be a glitch. You can't advance a muffed punt...if it was a muff. If not, I haven't seen this yet. I'm glad it doesn't happen all the time. I have returned a fumble for a TD already.

Ok, I play on AA, took me a couple practices to get the passing down so they stopped picking off everything i threw, seems like more INTs in this version, but then I finally started my season, I beat Miami like 91 to 10 or something, Texas held me to about 55, but managed to put up about 21 points because Young is hard to stop when he gets a on a roll. Momentum seems to play a bigger role in this version, if you fuck up right off the bat it can make coming back very hard.

Almost quit my season after Iowa knocked out Troy for the season, then Schnittker got a 4 game suspension, and Penn State knocked Ginn out.. I was steaming.. but he came back after only 1 quarter. PSUs defense is no joke, I had blown out every other team up till that game, but they held me to 24-21, I couldnt do shit on that D. Now I'm in the 4th quarter of my MSU game and up like 58-7 I think so it wasnt just the injuries and suspensions.

Haw and Pittman made a great one-two punch, Hawk has already set the school record for sacks in a season. Ginn and Holmes are like 4th and 5th in the Heisman balloting right now.

Practice??? :)

Finally started my first real dynasty last night and started out blowing out Miami shutting them down in the first half then I got sloppy in the 2nd and they got to 21 pts on me. Texas on the other hand was like shooting fish in a barrel. 66-10!!! Shut down VY on the first series and then Ginn returned the punt 68 yards for the TD and it was all downhill for Texas from there on out.

I would like to commend EASports on their spy packages. I adjusted my formations to make sure Hawk was on the field every down and had him spy VY the whole game and VY's longest carry was a 5 yard scamper. Hawk also had a diving interception off a tip that had Corso & Kirk raving about him being in the zone. Also Pitcock is a monster on this game sacking Young 3 times.

After that buttkicking just simulated the rest of the games (test out recruiting) to face Georgia Tech in the Rose Bowl????? Needless to say I was disppointed cuz I was so ready to not sim that game to blow out USC... oh well.

About recruiting, in-season in particular. Am I right that you are stuck with the guys you originaly pick at the beginning of the recruiting period? Tried to delete two after not liking their discipline & potential and was hoping to jump on another recruit. Looks like you can't do, so that sucks. But I did like how you were able to focus on a dozen recruits to get to know them so you know what you need not to focus on after season recruiting.

Yep, stuck with the same 12 during the season.

Yeah, pissed me off two of my "pipeline" guys actually lowered their interest after I blew out Texas and reading a quote that "They were not impressed with the Texas victory" WHAT THE FUCK?!?!? Then they actually had Michigan move up on the list and I said fuck them. Needless to say I got the other 10 guys since they were all getting the love compared to those 2 guys.

You guys suck, all of you. I didn't pay attention and reserve a copy and finally broke down and ordered one from amazon last night after spending two day being told "sorry, there all gone."

:(
I was in a Best Buy yesterday and it still had plenty of games. You just didn't look hard enough

I got it and started it up. I guess it decided that since I haven't started the game up, yet, it would make me try the new big feature: Race for the Heisman. So I decided to give it a try. It asked me what position to try, so I choose Pocket QB. I think in the 10 tries, I had 1 or 2 incompletions. So it gives me offers to USC, Iowa, and Louisville. I decided that that sucked, so I walked on to Ohio State. So I guess my first question for those of you who might know, is "What's the point of getting scholarship offers?" I've tried the try-outs other times, doing badly on purpose, and I've noticed that the better you do in try-outs, the better your ratings are. I just don't see the point to offers, since my 62-rated QB can walk on to USC and start the same as my 82-rated QB can.

Second, when you're in your dorm room (how gay is that whole setting?) one of your options is to practice your playbook. What good does that do? I practiced once and got a score of over 5000, and it's number 1 on the high scores list. The next 20 times I tried, I couldn't get 2000. I've since gotten over 4000 a couple times, but it's not as easy as the first time I tried it, and the dude's abilities haven't increased. What's the point of it?

Overall, a good game. The guy's #1 in Heisman ranking with Northwestern and Michigan to go. Ginn's #2 and Hawk's #3. I just have to pick one of the covers you guys have made and I'll be all set.

dude, that sucks about your injuries. luckily ginn isnt gone but how did schnittker get a 4 game suspension? and im not sure what level im playih on, but i think its varsity(it sucks because in heisman mode, i couldnt change the difficulty without erasing a bunch of stats or some BS like that) but i scored 49 on Penn St. 42 which was unanswered and i threw a pick on the 20 and they went 80 yards for their only TD and pts of the game

question about juke moves

on the last version of this game i used the juke move alot. but there were two ways to juke defenders. if you press the juke button firmly the runner will jump to the right or left. if you softly press the juke button he will sort of glide to the right or left. the soft juke is much more efffective when running and i cant seem to find a way to do that in the new game. any help?
