He's an incredible (regular season) goal scorer, but tell me who's a more overrated player than Auston Matthews? Dude is a ghost when it counts...and, hmmm, his team goes 2-0 in the games he misses, then loses when he returns. Career in the playoffs? 23 goals and 47 points in 55 games.

Side note- that's a decent haul for Winnipeg.

Checking in on PLD about 11 months later - he had an absolute dogshit season (16 goal/40 pts in 82 G) and speculation is LA may buy him out or try to trade him. That guy is a fucking succubus.

Keefe is the scapegoat and Marner is one of the bigger problems they have....

The problem is marner has a full NMC. HE has the Laffs over a barrel.

Marner was dreadful in that Boston series. He let Pastrnak blow right past him on that clinching goal. To be fair, Nylander was just gliding down the ice to their left on that play, as well, but I don't see him catching much shit for it.

Marner was getting called out all series for being lazy though and they were right.

Nylander ran out of gas is my guess. He basically carried the team in games 5 and 6.

The other guy who is getting a pass is Tavares. He hasn't exactly been the same guy that they signed from Tampa.
