OBSERVATIONS FROM GROUND ZERO

Anyone else think those cusioned seats are a bad idea? It seems to me like they take up way more room than one would normally have on the bench, which would crunch the people around the cusioned seats even more than they usually are.

On the plus side, you can tell where the student sections are, since we didn't even get an option for the seats (not that anyone would use them anyways) and I thought it was pretty cool looking around the stadium and being able to see where all the students will be.

You really think they looked sharp? in the 7 on 7 drills there were very few completions, quite a few dropped passes, but also quite a few way off target considering there was no pass rush.

This is why it is hard to take anything from practice. A couple of folks in the other practice thread commented on how good Dane looked. I had made a mental note to check who #12 (Dane) was because I thought he must be a walk. He was dropping everything I saw him touch.

I was on the opposite end of the field from the 7 on 7 and from my favorite drill (one on one coverage). So most of what I saw involved more of a set offense involving the lines and where the passes were much shorter.

The cushion seats are the size that each ticket holder gets for each seat location without a cushion seat. Because people can't fit into there assigned seat location is not the cushion seat's fault.

If us fat f***s ever get organize guys like you are in big trouble.

I am also wondering how those seats will effect the view of the people behind them. The cushion is pretty thick - more so than the traditional squares folks carry in.

Based on personal experience the seats are much wider than the actual amount of room a person gets on the bench, and I'm surrounded by relatively in shape college students.

Pettrey and Kickoffs

I think the reason Pettrey can't hit the end zone this year is that they've changed their kicking strategy. They're going for 4 second hang time instead of booting it through the endzone. I think the point is that if they are forced to put the ball in play, then they have to get their team down the field.

Thanks O8CH
