my point, captain comprehension, is that seymore is thought to be possibly the best 3-4 DE in the league, and one of the better DL's in the NFL. He was also rated as the top DL in the draft (which butch davis whiffed on, despite the opposition of other cleveland talent scouts).

So, to say that okoye would be a waste as a 3-4 end is a stupid comment.

okoye isn't remotely comparable to comparable to seymour....hes a three DT in the 4-3

okoye's at his best when he is being disruptive and penetrating the pocket...he has a nasty spin move that he used in mobile.....he could be a very good disruptive interior lineman a la warren sapp someday

taking pitcock in the second and plugging him in as DE would be much better/more efficient, although pitcocks a reach in the top of the 2nd round

you're right, a 6-3 290lb who is one of the best DT's in the draft is a real reach. if he falls past 40 then its a real steal for whomever drafts him.

and if you'd have bothered to watch a browns game this year, you'd realized two things:

1. the lack of push and pass rush ability from the DE's when in a 3-4 alignment was more obvious then get cock punched with brass knuckles.

2. cleveland very often goes to a 4 man line nickle set in passing situations, where okoye would be lined up as a DT.

so once again, you have no idea as to what you speak.

hey no ones ever mentioned that, why do you think we drafted wimbley, an undersized DE and put him at OLB?

so we'd spend our first rounder on a situational lineman when we drafted an undersized DT for the 3-4 last year

i guess you forgot about taking oshinowo in last years draft:(

Sorry IronBuckI, but I have to ask him.....Do you even watch college football??

pete caroll's whole gimmick is DEFENSE, and 2006 rose bowl aside, he does a helluva job with. he shut down scUM twice and peterson in the orange bowl.

he keeps talking about this years class being his best recruiting class because of the players (galippo and griffen specifically) hes getting.

once again, it seems your reading comprehension is sorely lacking.

wimbly is an OLB/edge rusher. He would have had at least 5 more sacks if the DE would have gotten any push, and not allowed the qb to be able to take 3 steps up into the pocket and avoid the edge rush. DE and OLB in a 3-4 are two different positions. you do realize this don't you?

nowhere, in any of my posts was okoye mentioned as a situational lineman. where you came up with that boggles the mind. all that was pointed out to you, which you clearly failed to grasp, is the skill set that you tried to assert made him a bad fit for cleveland, is exactly what they need on the weakside of the DL. so, please, try again.

I see that drafttroy.com is up to 866 signatures. Call it Scarlet and Gray Goggles if you want, but I would LOVE to see him in Orange and Brown next year. I have stated my case earlier in this thread, just thought it was interesting to see an update on how many people of signed the online petition.

Troy will go to the Browns in the Second round. I have an Inside source, my daddy said so!
