both will certainly be available at the top of the 2nd, because neither is worthy of top of the 2nd consideration. the best either is ranked by any service is #5 at their position. Considering how weak cb is this draft, that puts them at late 2nd if they get lucky. but please tell me more about how cleveland won't take an OL in the 2nd because of isaac sowells.

they aren't taking ben grubbs in the second, ill tell you that

remember, phils a bpa guy. we could get lucky and have troy fall to us.

i'll wager substantial cash that provided cleveland doesn't take joe thomas, they take an OL in the 2nd long before they consider a cb.

but, since cleveland interviewed 6 late 1st/early 2nd OL prospects, and two marginal late 2nd cb prospects, they are clearly going with cb in the 2nd. Nothing you say surprises me anymore.

Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage spoke extensively with cornerback Josh Wilson.

The OBR's man in Mobile this week reports that Phil Savage personally has been talking to mostly cornerbacks.

Here's a list of players who were interviewed today:

Browns ? Aaron Ross (Savage spent a lot of time with him on the field after practice), Buster Davis, Mansfield Wrotto, Chansi Stuckey, Tim Duckworth, Ben Grubbs, Chase Pittman.

Thursday Team Interests

Cleveland Browns ?Troy Smith, Josh Wilson

you seem to be ignoring all the other players hes looked at:atom:

id love buster davis.....kinda falls intot he Troy Smith category of not enough respect b/c of measurables...as an FSU fan I can say Buster plays with all of his heart, and gets much love from teammates....he also improved every year and I think he'll make a great linebacker in the NFL

McNabb and LT would not have been nearly as successful in Cleveland. The teams they went to were established and had better skill positions to work with. Couch got killed when he was here, the lines he had could not block an old lady with a walker.

I disagree. When you have a special player like them, players play above there ability. Those two are leaders. Couch was never going to be a leader and that's why he didn't succeed. He would cry, whine, and make excuses. Besides the hundred other reasons. I was sitting at my dads bar when they drafted Couch and about 20 guys started either screaming or leaving. I'm a Titans fan not a Browns fan. I seen what one player can do to a teams and cities moral. Donovan and LT are and where those guys in college so there was no reason to think they couldn't be that way in the NFL. I just think GM's are putting more emphases in leadership and the ability to rise up when the game is on the line, then on arm strength or speed.

except the team has much bigger needs. we are set a LB.

he does play hard, but hes a straight line player and he doesn't move to well laterally. he had some struggles at practices in lateral movement drills.
