Ohio Stadium aka THE Horseshoe (Official Thread)

It would have to be a huge addition to claim the #1 spot. U-M is only half-done on their expansion project, it will eventually top 122,000. (Mock up from an MGo poster based on comments from Dave Brandon in 2011).

Those seats behind the scoreboard should go for a premium :roll1:

Perhaps they can add a screen to the back so the attendees can watch a decent team play.

We wiill need the extra seats in TSUN's [Mark May] house, for when we take it over every other November. They should work some scarlet into the paint scheme so as not to clash with all of our fans in the seats.

From what I remember, Michigan usually adds more seats by making the width of their seats smaller. I think that's what they did when Penn State passed them, however long ago that was.

I did a project on this in like 8th grade and could have sworn that Ohio Stadium's seats are 12 inches a piece while UM's are 10 inches a piece. I can't find that info now for my life, but if that were the case we could get about the capacity to be about 130,000. Not too concerned about it since Ohio Stadium is an infinitely nicer venue than the hole in the ground in AA.

I'm excited to see what the extension will look like. Can't complain about a couple thousand extra fans screaming their lungs out.

Looking at this picture it's hard to imagine adding seats to those corners in a way that wouldn't look awkward, but I'm sure with $9 Million a decent design can be drawn up.

But will that be the case, or will it be another 2500 octegenarians who bring their knitting and complain if you stand up and yell around them?

Pretty sure they are 18" seats. That is what they were when I had student tickets and they seem to be the same size now as they were then despite me being somewhat larger.

repeat joke but a good one.

i was working a ton of hours trying to save a business managed by retards 500+ miles away. working like 16 - 17 hours a day.

ate every meal months on end in my office or in the break room with the guys or in the maintenance shop. gained maybe 100 pounds. yea i was fat.

now i am tall too so i can hide weight pretty good. sometimes people would ask me how big i was and i would tell them i was 300+, but it was mostly penis weight. got good laughs out of that for a long time.

went down to TN to visit a buddy of mine from school. he hadn't seen me in probably 80 - 100 pounds. i used the yea it's mostly penis weight joke and instantly Vin goes, damn man how many penises a day are you eating.

that was the turning point, no homo. i stopped eating bad and the weight dropped right back off. back down to my college weight minus a few pounds now.

Wow...those are probably not going to be very popular seats with the exception of the top and bottoms of those extra sections. Some of those parts of C and D deck that seem to be empty the most often will probably fill up before these seats for those games now.
