Game Thread Ohio State 23, Purdue 7 (final)

Blackout? Their students/fans are gonna look like they went looting at Hot Topic.

As for coverage of the game, I think some of you guys are freaking out a bit. Even here in Cincinnati my guide is showing ND/UCLA on ABC. It's likely that before the season started they anticipated that being the feature matchup. Obviously that won't be the one they show here in Cincy, and probably for most of the country as well. As has already been mentioned, the commercials they are showing list the OSU/Purdue game at the top, in larger font, implying that that will be the feature matchup. Give it time. I know some of you will have to be resourceful to get the game, but most of you will have nothing to worry about I think.

I think 2002 is still stuck in the back of some of your minds  I guess I can see how this could be a good game, but I'm feeling pretty confident about this game. This and Kent may very well be our last two "easy" games if there is such a thing. Hopefully Boeckman finds his rythm again, how is Saines progress? Love watching this offense unveil itself every week.

I don't know if this means anything, but if you looked at the E$PN "Power 16" you'll notice they have the Buckeyes playing Purdon't on ABC at 8.

ESPN - NCAA College Football Power Rankings - NCAA Football

Now you'd think they would have the correct listing on a national website

They are. That's not the issue. It's just a matter of what regions get to see it. Unfortunately for me, I'll be stuck with the UCLA game.

I think a 'black' out is the dumbest thing ever.

The white out was sick.

When it's a 'black' out, it just looks like a practice field with no one in the stands, ESPECIALLY at night.

It's not intimidating, it just makes it look like there's no one sitting in the stands.

Wouldn't that bump the Ohio State game to ESPN for you then?

Normally but I think they already have those time slots filled. One of them will be the Cincy-Rutgers game, I think.

I think so too. It'd look pretty badass for a day game tho.

OK

I just looked and it appears that the ESPN2 8PM timeslot is still TBA as well.

I would guess they'll put them on there if anything.

There's no way E$PN doesn't put a primetime game between two undefeated teams on the air nationwide at some level.

So maybe there's hope after all. Thanks for the info.

Considering they only aired the Cal-UO game exclusively on the west coast, never underestimate just how fucking stupid they can be.
