Game Thread Ohio State 38, Toledo 0 (Sep 19, Browns Stadium)

till next saturday..

Gonna be fun year. If I just stay away from the message boards at the Discharge I'll have fun.

Terrell will be everything we want by November. I would love to have him through his senior year. Go Big Ten, Go Bucks.

The defense was nothing short of excellent.

The pre-snap penalties are really starting to bother me.\

Pryor's decision making needs to improve. He makes some great decisions and plays, but he is inconsistent. Sometimes he even makes a poor decision and gets a decent result in spite of himself because he is a great athlete surrounded by other great athletes. Overall I thought he played a good game today though.

I liked what I saw out of Jordan Hall in the 4th quarter. I know that snaps at RB depend on more than just rushing yardage, but I think I might like to see the backs rotated more freely, and the guy with the hot hand getting more playing time. That's not a rip on Herron - if he's that guy, so be it. I just think there are a few RBs that have a chance to be good and contribute, and the Buckeyes need to get production from whoever is going to give them the most.

Also, I could really do without all of the jackasses who were booing when the Buckeyes had the audacity to run up the middle with the ball on Toledo's 3-yard line. It's shameful. I'm tired of hearing from people, "I don't want to see a whole season of this," especially when they're up three scores in the second quarter. If you don't like what you're seeing, flip the channel, give away your tickets and donate your Buckeye gear to a nearby shelter. Jim Tressel doesn't owe us anything and you don't have to be here.

I love my fiancee and I love that she loves the Buckeyes too. Sometimes I wish though that she didn't give a shit, because she knows just enough about football to say some really dumb shit that can make watching the game with her like having color commentary from Bucknuts. I think more of us need to sit back calmly and start rooting for the Buckeyes instead of complaining about what certain players or coaches can't, don't, or won't do.

Amen man. I just appreciate the fact that I get to watch Ohio State football on Saturdays.

I agree on the idiot fan comments. It's going to piss me off if every little decision by Tressel is booed when it goes wrong. If they are going to boo like that, I better see those fuckers yelling and clapping when things go right. I hate fair weather fans...........Unfortunately we have a lot of them.

You make some good points, but I don't think those who complain about the ISO play up the middle are necessarily jackasses. This play has been run 25 times already this year with maybe 1 success, and usually on 1st down.

I'm sure you agree that it's OK to cheer the bucks but question at the same time.. Go Bucks:osu:

Sure it is. It can be an interesting problem to discuss, but in the right places. See Grad21's thread "enough is enough".

I disagree. If a fan pays money to see the game, he has every right to boo, especially then. Personally, I won't ever accuse a paying fan of being "not a true fan" for booing. Heck, not only was I unsurprised at the booing, I was expecting it.

That being said, it was a great showing by the defense and a very good showing by the offense. There is still work to be done, but I can't be nothing but pleased at the outcome.
