They have enough talent where they shouldn't be this bad. They are pretty much the B1G equiv of UCLA.

This was a crucial win to stay ahead of the cut line for the tournament. You have a mediocre record and drop games like this, you are probably going to be out. Buckeyes doing just enough to stay in front of the first four.

And
4* Race Thompson (out with concussion most of season)

They are 4-9 in conference. Fact is the Buckeyes dodged a bullet not getting Archie.

You forgot aabout Hunter who is redshirting this season. Not sure how good he iis going to be at the college level. Phinisee is another guy who did not impress me.

You still have the Big Ten tournament but losing 5 in a row would probably really hurt. What put them right on the bubble and would probably have to win, I would think, 2 in the Big Ten tournament to get in.

8 regular season games left. 5 are against teams currently ranked. hold serve against illinois and northwestern x2, beat one of msu/pu/md/uw/iowa, and we're in like flynn. lose 1 of ill/nw/nw but beat 2 of the ranked teams, and we're probably still in despite a losing conference record. pac 12 being horrible and big east being down will help us.
