Game Thread Ohio State @ Penn State - 09/29/18, 7:30PM (ABC)

BTN will be showing this game in its 60-minute edited version at 6 pm Eastern time today. Record it, then watch it on mute. Zip through the few commercials, and experience every play in about 48 minutes without listening to any garbage.

Also showing it at 3 pm Eastern tomorrow and at 1 am Wednesday morning.

It’s kinda fun listening to Fowler almost soil himself for half a game before Ohio State makes him sound like a jackass. He’s almost climaxing as I speak because Ohio State just missed the FG after the personal foul.

Just came across this while reading an article on last week's CFB on ESPN 101 out of Saint Louis. The writer is Bernie Miklasz.

"Penn State coach James Franklin. The Nittany Lions should have won the game against Ohio State, and probably would have, if Franklin didn’t screw up a fourth-and-five play call with the outcome on the line. After calling two timeouts to come up with the ideal play, Penn State opted for a boring inside handoff to running back Miles Sanders. Ohio State had 28 players waiting to make the tackle (or so it seemed) and the result was a two-yard loss. Ballgame. You can’t go down in this game without putting the ball in the hands of McSorley, who flustered the Buckeyes’ defense all night. To make matters worse, on his way to the locker room Franklin stopped to argue with a Penn State student who heckled him from the stands in response to the idiotic play call."

Not good, James, not good.

The ball WAS in the hands of McSorley. He just happened to give it away.

Also, I watched that video of Franklin and the fan. It’s not a good look anytime a coach stops to acknowledge an asshat but I also think too much is being made of what actually went down, which was basically nothing.

only because an assistant coach had to struggle to hold him back.
