Game Thread Ohio State vs Indiana, 10/08/16 @ 3:30 ET, ESPN/WatchESPN

Here'a link to the depth chart for the Indiana game:

DEPTH CHART: KYLE TROUT, EVAN LISLE REPLACE INJURED DEMETRIUS KNOX ON OHIO STATE'S TWO-DEEP BEFORE INDIANA MATCHUP

For the second time in as many weeks, an injury caused a change to Ohio State's depth chart.

After Justin Hilliard and K.J. Hill went down ahead of the team's win against Rutgers last weekend, a broken foot sustained in practice sidelined redshirt sophomore guard Demetrius Knox for eight weeks. As a result, his name is not on the team's latest depth chart, released Tuesday afternoon.

The No. 2 Buckeyes (4-0) host Indiana (3-1) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Notes:

  • Redshirt sophomore Kyle Trout and redshirt junior Evan Lisle replace Knox at backup right guard on this week's depth chart. That is the lone change from last week's two-deep. Trout played late in Ohio State's 58-0 win against Rutgers.
  • Joe Burger remains in place of Hilliard at backup WILL linebacker. Ohio State still lists Jerome Baker and Dante Booker as a co-starters at that position. Booker missed Ohio State's wins against Tulsa, Oklahoma and Rutgers with a sprained MCL but Meyer said on Monday he is "probable" for Saturday's game.
  • Baker remains Chris Worley's backup at SAM linebacker.
  • Sam Hubbard and Jalyn Holmes remain co-starters at defensive end opposite of Tyquan Lewis.
  • Marshon Lattimore remains a co-starter at one cornerback spot with Denzel Ward despite being tied for the team lead with three interceptions.
  • Ohio State still lists nine starting positions with an "OR."

Does anyone else have trouble keeping the WLB position straight? Booker, Baker, & Burger, i.e. too many similar sounding names here........:oh:....:io:

I'm kinda with @pianobuck46 in that this team just seems different.

Maybe it won't last but I'm wondering if being so young, the depth creating a dynamic that demands performance at all times from all players and the lack of "big name stars" (yet) doesn't keep this let down game we are all waiting for from happening?

If we end up seeing the team leaders and coaches keep the mentality to truly just go balls out at all times, given the talent on hand and the QB they have....holy hell we could be looking at something special.

That's my feeling as well. It's like incredible recruiting + monster NFL draft created the perfect storm. Plenty of open spots available, plenty of talent accepting the challenge to go get it. @bukIpower mentioned above that it seemed like we were too reliant on certain people last year. I agree but I think it went a little further than that. I think it was the separation between the 1's and the 2's last year that caused the coaches to stick with the starters all game every game. I know there was some rotation, but not like this. I can't ever remember a case where so many seem to be listed as a co-starter. I can barely keep up with who's in and who's out on any given play anymore. I'd almost request a graphic from the stations broadcasting Buckeye games. Maybe have the numbers listed on the right side of the screen with who's in, but I know that they'd pumpkin that up.

The amazing thing for us Buckeye fans is that all of that seems easily explainable with my new Buckeye Game Day Drinking game TM. It's simple, you just take a drink every time you see or hear the word "freshman" or "sophomore"!!

Hey, Jax, thx for the mention. Yeah, you're right on the "holy-hell-something-special" comment. Can't help but think of the 1968 'Super Soph" team. Nobody gave them much of a chance, but look at the talent and what Woody did with it.

This team has something to prove, and it shows. Call me crazy, but the Sunday CFB shows ("CFB Final", "CFB Sunday" etc.) made literally no mention of tOSU, except Barrett--who wouldn't?). All I heard was Bama-Clemson-this and Louisville that. Perfect--just the way I want it.

All I see when the Bucks take the field are anger, hunger, and as close to perfect football as I've seen in a long time. It's just a great time to be a Buckeye. Enough said, and thanks again. :urban2:

GO BUCKS!!!!

Then again, you seem to be basing this on past scores and teams that don't exist anymore. From what I've seen of the 2016 Bucks, they treat EVERY game as their Super Bowl. Take no prisoners. 52-14, Good Guys.
Their 2012 team and 2015 team were almost totally different in roster makeup, but both still played us very tough...we won by 3 in 2012 and by 7 last year. I'll make you the same deal as I did with @TooTallMenardo...if we win by 38+ points I'll "like" every single post you make for a week.

Well, to be fair, you were busy writing "Lick my love pump" around that time.

And "Cups and Cakes"
under appreciated album

The way they fused Mozart and Bach into a trilogy and then using the key of D....just makes me weep uncontrollably
Thank you. I also invented the usage of playing the guitar with a violin, you should look into it.
You sons of bitches; I just got the dreaded, "This title is only available on Netflix DVD."

If you haven't seen the rockumentary of my band, you should put it on your short list. Also, if you happen to know of a drummer ready to rock LOUD, let me know, we are always in need of one.
I've seen it. What kind of uncultured rube do you take me for?
That's just nitpicking isn't it?
Good Lord. Next thing I know, you'll be suggesting I go to the library.
