Ohio State vs Iowa, Mar 9, 2023, 2:30 PM EST, BTN

Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.

The Ohio State men's basketball season isn't over quite yet. The No. 13 seed Buckeyes defeated No. 12 seed Wisconsin 65-57 on Wednesday evening in the first game of the Big Ten Tournament to advance to Day 2.

Thanks to the win, the Scarlet and Gray go marching on and extend the 2022-23 season for at least one more day. On Thursday, the Scarlet and Gray will face No. 5 seed Iowa in the Big Ten Tournament second round.

The Buckeyes and the Hawkeyes met twice this year, splitting the season series.

If the Buckeyes jump out to the lead they had against Wiscy, then I can see lightening striking once again. Iowa has more offensive weapons than Wiscy, so the Buckeyes gotta step their D game up a tad. Would be outrageous to think that the Buckeyes will hit 70%+ once again, but I'd take it....hopefully the Buckeye faithful will travel to Chicago or those located in or around Chicago will venture to watch the game unfold. The 'fab four' freshmen are growing up before our very eyes, and the transfers are savvy enough to be able to fill in the cracks as needed. Sueing continues to be a vital cog, and when he's 'on', he's great. Hopefully each plays within themselves, and doesn't force anything. Do like Holtmann's philosophy to play happy and enjoy the journey. Wish I'd had some of that attitude during the day. In any case, Go Bucks!

Spread opened at Iowa -2.5 but it's been steamed up to Iowa -4 with over 70% of the money coming down on the Hawkeyes.

Bucks won't be able to afford a long scoring drought today.

They're playing loose and working hard at both ends of the court. Can't ask for more than that. Need better awareness late in the shot clock and someone needs to want the ball in those situations. Other than that, it would have helped if the clock in the ref's head had been a little more accurate and not a little too quick.
