Game Thread Ohio State vs Maryland - 11/09/19, 12:00PM (FOX)

Current odds have the Bucks favored by 44 with an O/U of 63 to 65.5, which comes out to a score in the 54-10 to 55-11 range. Does Vegas really think that Maryland should score in double digits when they couldn't score a single offensive point against either Ped State or scUM?

Well, the way to look at it is that Vegas is asking you; Do you think UMD can score more than 10 points including garbage time? If not then put your money down because OSU going over 55 seems highly likely.

BTW, It's down to -42.5 at 5Dimes right now.

REMEMBER ME? With Maryland on the docket this week, it is my unfortunate duty to remind you of that one time when Anthony McFarland rushed for almost 300 yards and the damn turtles took the Buckeyes to overtime.

In hindsight, it looks like his rushing total probably had a lot more to do with Ohio State's asstrocious defense than it did him. Tough to believe, I know.

To be fair, this is just a tad misleading because McFarland has been plagued by injuries this season, even when he's played. And it's not like he didn't show he could do it against other teams last year (he had 210 yards against Indiana the week before he ruined the Buckeyes).

Still, Ohio State shouldn't give up 298 yards and two touchdowns to Barry Sanders in his prime, much a mediocre three-star back that has as many games with under 20 yards rushing as he does 100 yard rushing games.

I can see them scoring on the 3rd stringers/walk ons that'll likely be playing.
Now that I'm fully jinxing the defense, it hasn't allowed a single fourth-quarter point since the season-opener (seven games). Not to mention that our 3rd-stringers are at the same talent level as their starters and the fact that they are fighting for more playing time as thus will ball out while in the game.
