Ohio State vs Michigan State, Mar 10, 2023, 2:30 PM EST, BTN

Like I said yesterday, regardless of how the next game goes, this finish is very encouraging for next season. Hopefully next year's Frosh don't take as long to figure it out. Also, hope somebody like Thornton doesn't get a hair up his ass and enter the draft. I expect Sensabaugh to go, but would be nice to keep the rest around...
Sensabaugh may still go but the middle of the season probably damaged is stock quote a bit when we went on a slide and he went on a slide as well.

But damn guys keep it going and play your way into the tournament

BRUCE THORNTON

GRADE: A++++
Thornton was the best player on the floor. Ohio State's late-season surge coincides with Thornton playing the best basketball of his career. The freshman point guard showed out against a Michigan State backcourt that is regarded as the best in the Big Ten. Thornton totaled 21 points, six assists, four rebounds and zero turnovers in 35 minutes. Oh, and he had two blocks, one steal and numerous deflections. Thornton was a maestro in the pick-and-roll. Michigan State tried blitzing, switching, dropping or even playing at the level against Thornton.
It didn't matter.
Thornton is playing with oodles of confidence, and he has the look of potentially being in the mix for the Big Ten's best guard in 2023-24.

My wife (sweetest person on this planet) got angry because it appeared that the refs (and the announcers) were giving the calls to Sparty, and ignoring some pretty basic fouls against the Buckeyes. What, first half, Sparty had two fouls?!? Not hardly. Seemed to correct itself in the second half, as refs called pretty equally on both sides of the ten second line. Oh yeah, Okpara was a warrior underneath. Do think Holtmann needs to continue sending Sueing and/or Eugene Brown inside to help him out, especially tomorrow. Okpara is giving up 5" to Edey, and about 30 pounds. Will enjoy watching the battles in the paint. Just hope Okpara doesn't make his usual silly fouls and ride the pine a bunch. We'll need him. Go Bucks!

Whoever stays out of foul trouble wins.
