A better question would be what if Maurice Clarett stayed more than one year at Ohio State, became a star for Mike Shanahan's Broncos, and didn't rob two people at a nightclub with a Colt .45???? :lol:

I don't think that's as bad as Mayfield fleeing from the cops while drunk, then agreeing to a deferred deal. But to each his own, I guess.

And being chased on a pedestrian sidewalk by four Fayetteville policemen isn't a valid comparison to being rushed from the pocket on a football field made of grass or artificial turf.

Just a heads up... while don't mind such talk and find it to be good banter... there are those who control access to this place who find it less funny.

... and I think you made my point with your last statement. A couple of out of shape cops brought him down... not exactly the same gang chasing him on 9/9... But I will give you the fact that he may be, by the second half, in similar state of mind as he was in Arkansas. It ain't called punch drunk for no reason.

Edit: Are you sure you're not an attorney billing time against your clients while you're here?

And, what's your point??? How can an off-field incident have an impact on a game nearly 7 months later? I don't understand why you are using his arrest tape as a basis as to how he will perform against the Buckeyes on September 9th.

Alright, fine. We're only on a message board posting anonymously talking football and bantering about each other's programs' mishaps. But I'd rather focus on the game itself than off-the-field incidents from the past. Leave Mayfield's arrest tape for the whorns to laugh at.

You all kind of lucked out in that game though with the phantom pass interference call and Willis McGahee being out with a knee injury.

2014 Buckeyes > 2002 Buckeyes

I'm sure you all would agree Tressel overstayed his welcome because of that win over Miami.
