OL Justin Boren (Official Thread)

I also think that any new article done with Boren is just looking for something intriguing to report. There is simply not much new info to put out there. It is down to Mich. and Ohio State and until he decides to publicly announce his decision reporters are just trying to carve a good story out of his words imo.

My guess is he knows everything he needs to know, has been to both places enough, and just doesn't want the added pressure of each staff/players persuading him to go there. He has enough food on his plate to last him a while, no sense in going back for seconds.
I think your right on the money here BGriff....

Its down to OSU and SCUM...I just wish they give him some time to decide.

Mainly a bump.

But, I also noticed that the last few posts indicate that he's probably made up his mind, but he's likely to wait until August to announce. Granted, those two comments were in different posts, so they might not be related. However, is there any reason why someone would cancel trips, indicate that he's made a decision, but wait until August to announce?

I will state on April 25th at 8:10 pm Pacific Time that Boren will be a Buckeye--

This is a very very savvy young man who is also looking at life after football---and is there ANY better business position to be in, living in Columbus, then ex-OSU football player???

He is well aware of this fact, and will make the right decision.

I didn't like this last update

Wallace's interview had a different tone then in the past. It made it sound like the things going for OSU in his recruitment were no longer that big of a deal. Oh well, let's see what happens.

Yertle,

While I have no inside info what so ever I can think of one great reason. If a player has chosen tOSU, why not wait until the smoke clears (which it will) from the NCAA investigation? If something bad comes out he chooses scum, or wherever, and that program has no negative/second thoughts on his decision and his commitment and passion for the program.

If tOSU staff is informed of this type of decision it would greatly benefit them as well.

Just a thought.

And a damn good thought at that! Thanks for the insight, and I know that this is just an example, but it helps my thought process.

Scout $

5/7 (GBW)

Justin was rated as the top performer at the Nike COmbine in Ann Arbor today. At 6'3, 319 lbs, Justin ran an electronically-timed 5.2 40 and did 40 bench reps of 185 while also registering a 24 inch vertical jump. His father stated that tOSU and Michigan are dead even and a decision will be forthcoming in the next month.

That's a solid 40-time for a guy that size since it's electronic, and an impressive show of stregth as well.

That is impressive. Boren is a sure-fire top 50 player.

Probably the #1 C in the country. 6-3, 319 is very impressive for a kid who isn't even a senior in high school yet. 40 bench reps of 185 and an electronically timed 5.2-40 is amazing.

People need to realize that the track at Michigan's practice field is a slow track. I'll say he runs a 5.0 flat or better if he ran it at the Tallahassee NIKE camp where they run on a track that is built for speed.
