Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

How s**ty of a QB must Bryce Petty be to be surplanted by SACKENBURG?!?

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets' second preseason game will be important for many players, but perhaps none more so than Bryce Petty.

The second-year quarterback is battling for a roster spot, and perhaps his NFL future, with the Jets now having three other quarterbacks: starter Ryan Fitzpatrick, backup Geno Smith and rookie Christian Hackenberg.

Highly entertaining thread in which the Cult tells each other that the rest of the country doesn't care about the scandal and everyone other than Internet trolls loves them some PSU and Joesus. Inevitably, a Buckeye fan wanders into the thread on page two and gently breaks it to the Cult how their protests of the BoT and never moving on are viewed outside the bubble. The result is a feeding frenzy the likes of which is seldom seen outside the Animal Channel showing crocs attacking a zebra visiting a water hole. Bushwood goes full moron in the thread, but my favorite post is the Joebot lecturing the poor, uninformed Buckeye poster that he simply does not understand the "full scope of the issue."

https://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threa...ituation-or-using-it-against-us.135266/page-2

kentuckycb: "You and the nation don't appreciate the full scope of the issue. The Sandusky issue exposed major problems within our university governance structure. Also, and infinitely more important, it exposed critical problems within the state entities charged with child welfare.

Most Penn Staters keep "fighting" to fix those problems...and can/will affect change.

You and the nation only read what the media knows will get clicks, i.e. Paterno stuff....which is only a small fraction of the issue."

I thought this response was interesting...

If it were only about "the program," you might have a point. It's also interesting that Penn Staters have been told we only cared about football and not about child abuse. Now you're telling us that by not dropping this and moving on, we don't care about the football program. Which is it?

And by the way, we're not the ones who published op-eds condemning all the lettermen in our history who said they were unfairly lumped in with Sandusky. But we are the ones asking why the people who ran TSM got off scot-free. We're the ones bringing to people's attention that more than 40,000 phone calls to ChildLine went unanswered-- when the narrative tells us everything can be taken care of by just making one phone call.

Should the people in Hillsborough have moved on and given up? After all, investigations wouldn't bring back any of the dead fans. But people persisted, the truth came out, and some horrible procedures were uncovered and changed as a result. It turned out the people originally blamed weren't at fault at all. But in your world, they should have just kept silent and moved on.

He makes a good point. But what happens when the truth consistently comes back ... Joe Knew.
These guys aren't Justice Warriors, they're just Deniers.

That goes all the way back to Freeh. The cult was certain that he'd bring the FAX and EVIDENTS! It was only after the first few leaked/released discoveries and emails came out that he became the devil.

Next week, on 48 Hours: Hard Evidents.

People are just fuckin' evil, aren't they? How many times do you read stories like this, of some poor schmuck breathing his last because someone figured they could make a few bucks from his demise?

BTW, Jax, are you sure BWI isn't actually down by maybe two, or even three if they indict the girl friend, too?

Thankfully I will have to rely on one of our BWI watchers to tell us

I am one alum that doesn't give a damn if the entire university burns to the ground - along with the whole pathetic commonwealth of Pennsylvania - if thats what it takes to undue the injustice to Paterno.

if im reading this right this is supporting evidence (possibly even fax) that the football program was NOT bigger than the university and that "winning at all costs" was never a narrative but rather a core belief in success with honor has and always will dominate the focus of pedo state and all those who follow the paterno way.

If anyone has a live troll in play on bwi, might I suggest starting a thread with "insider info" that the professor was pro-Paterno and had been researching the fax and evidents! for a book and that his murder might be linked. Throw in some red meat like "Penn State professors loved Joe and the program unlike professors at other schools who are ashamed of their football programs."

Please, for the love of all things good - tell me you're cooking up a storm over there?!?

Your work may have been the single greatest thing to ever grace the interwebs.
