PGA Tour (Official Thread)

I don't hate Tiger, but the fanboys cheering like crazy before they even know the result is annoying. He's busy hitting into sand traps and people keep yelling. Idiots.
And he was fortunate that some tee shots were so far off line that he avoided the deep rough and instead he landed in places were the gallery had trampled the rough down. He could be 1 to 3 strokes further behind.

I felt bad for Koepka with the crowd response as he came up on 18 and then after he won. Pretty sad after a great effort by Brooks. This guy has won 3 majors in the last 2 years!

I struggle with the Tiger adoration, especially as we watch social media slandering Urban and his family when they don’t know the truth.

Woods shot 64 today. Probably won't be enough but he looked more like "Tiger" than I ever thought he would again.

Just sayin': If history is any indication, the clock is ticking on Tiger; he'll be 43 on Dec 30. That will put him at 43 years and almost 4 months old when the next major (i.e. Masters @ 11-14 Apr 2019) rolls around.

Don't disagree at all. I'm surprised he's played so well lately and he probably wishes it was earlier in the season.

Funny thing is, the 64 he shot Sunday was the lowest he has ever scored on Sunday in a major. But he's still never won a major when trailing going into Sunday.

Glad to see the PGA result. Not a Tiger fan, and hope he won't overtake Jack's record. However, cannot deny the "Tiger Effect". Saw (seem to recollect) somewhere that ticket sales were up 42% over when Tiger was absent. That speaks very powerfully. My wife asked why Tiger was in the camera, and not the leader(s). Said that he 'fills the stands' and the producers are all about the Benjamins. Heck, I watched as well, once read that he was in the hunt. And YES, he does look pretty good, almost to his 'pre-operation' and 'pre-Elin' fiasco. But time marches on.

It should be foregone conclusion that Tiger will be on the Ryder Cup team. If he is not they need to examine Furyk and his rationale. Phil I am not so sure about....
Yes because Tiger has played well for a few weeks, so absolutely he should be on. Phil, well he has actually won a tournament this year and is in the top 15 of the FedEx, as well as, is a veteran of the Ryder Cup wars to play a young guy with (and yes same for Tiger). Yeah so maybe he gets on.

I’d put them both on in a heartbeat if I’m Furyk....
