PS.... the reason for my persistence is that I cant, for the life of me, understand why 'so called' buckeye fans are gung-ho about playing such patsies in OOC games. It just leaves me shaking my head in disbelief. As buckeye fans, we should all ask for more!!

Well first off, you're approach leaves a lot to be desired, coming in and dropping insults to long term members isn't going to make you any friends, hence the collection of red-dots under your name.

Second, I don't think anyone is "gung-ho" about playing YSU, however, it's better to leave the money in Ohio where it belongs, also, this is Tressels old team, so there's a connection there.

Third, it's a good primer for a new QB, Receivers, etc... Smith and Ginn are gone, so there's a lot of changes on the field, this is a good warm up for them, it may not be USC, but it's a good game to get your groove on.

Fourth, our schedules following this year are BRUTAL, starting with USC and playing premier programs every year from there on out. That means EVERY YEAR, we are taking the chance of having our season basically determined within the first two games of the season.

If all of those don't leave you going, "well I guess a year to warm up for what's coming" then you really need to evaluate what you're supporting. I am supporting the school, the students and the team.

No, because you're a dipshit of 12-year-old "intellect" who either can't, or refuses to, comprehend that top-level I-AA teams like YSU are as competitive, if not moreso, than teams like Akron and Kent State whom you think are accpetable simply because they're in the MAC. YSU owns both teams.

I totally agree with you except for YSU owning both teams. They haven't played Crackron in more than a decade and split their last four with Kent. Losing the only game in the post JT era. Noted there is much less if any of a talent difference between good 1AA schools and lower 1A schools as there is to top tier 1A to lower 1A.

Sorry, my friend, buy YSU is 7-2-1 in their last 10 games against Akron (all under Tressel), which is why Akron won't even play them anymore. And they didn't split their last four with Kent State...they won three of the last four (wins in '97, '98, and '00 under Tressel, loss in '03 under Heacock). By the way, that loss that YSU to Kent State in 2003...16-13 at Kent.
