Purdue has always been the scrappy underdog B1G team I've rooted for....but gah it's a disaster right now.

Here is a sobering reality check if you are a fan of giant drums;

Purdue opens as a 5.5 point underdog, at home to VT after everyone in CFB saw how bad VT looked without their starting QB.

Think about that for a minute.

You have a point. But on the other hand, OSU's defense is going to make a lot of good teams look bad this year.

With Brewer they were a sleeper to win ACC.
Without Brewer.... ??
If they can avoid injuries on defense this year, they should be much improved from 2014.

It's an unranked ACC team with their back up QB being favored on the road against a B1G school.

That's just an embarrassment if you are Purdue (but I don't think they care enough to be embarrassed).

Note: The University of Chicago has 6 more conference titles in all sports than Purdue.

Chicago left the conference 75 years ago, while Purdue is a founding member.

Yup, that makes sense. I misunderstood your post. I get it now. I thought maybe you were viewing on a small screen and couldn't read it.

So Northwestern, Ped State and Maryland are upgrading. And I see Purdue has a half red, half yellow dot for 'coaches office'. So that means they are upgrading from a mimeograph to a copier?
