Is Hazell on the hot seat at Purdue? It seems I see him mentioned as such by everyone but Purdue. I'd really like to see him succeed but I always thought it was a bad idea to take that job after only two years at Kent State. If he doesn't succeed at Purdue -- and it's not easy to succeed at Purdue -- I don't know if he'd get another head coaching opportunity or be forced back into the assistant ranks.
It would be nice if the Nebraska win turns out to be a sign that his team has finally turned the corner. Unfortunately I think it's probably just a sign that Nebraska made a really bad coaching hire.

Unfortunately I think Coach Hazell is done after next year. I am actually surprised that he is getting another year. He has just never gotten off the ground with recruiting and getting the guys he needs to build the program.
