QB Joe Burrow (transfer to LSU, 2019 Heisman Winner, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

No doubt. I've come to realize that JT has some limitations, but I wouldn't trade him for anyone.

But I do feel good about 2018 when JT is gone.

The talent in the QB room is deep... and from the looks of things '17 and '18 classes are only going to make things deeper.

We've all been watching tOSU football for a long time... well, most of us old guys anyhow... I cannot ever recall the stockpile in the QB room that we're potentially going to see.

As far as skill positions go, tOSU was always known for RBs and even WRs. But hardly ever for QBs, that's now changing

Credit has to go to Troy Smith. I really think he turned around national perceptions of what a QB could accomplish at Ohio State, and the floodgates opened. Just think how different this era is from the steady stream of Jim Karsatos and Greg Frey to Herbstreit and Stanley Jackson.

Very true. From Troy on, QB play has improved at the collegiate level. I shudder to think what would've happened had we not landed Pryor...

Can we get a thread title update? There are a few options.

"He has a lot of names. He has John from me, (strength coach) Mickey Marrotti calls him Jimmy, and coach (assistant strength coach) Phil Matusz likes Jimmy Johns, so he changed his name to Jimmy Johns. I wonder what he puts on his paper in class?"

Disagree. As much as I like JT I don't see him as an NFL quarterback.
I've said the same thing about a number of guys that ended up getting drafted. That's all he needs is a chance. If Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh McCown, Blake Bortles, Brian Hoyer, Case Keenum, Trevor Simean and Brock Osweiller can be starting QBs, I give JT a chance to make a roster at least
