Saw that coming. Don't know how burrow was so under the radar in HS. Next year he will see some playing time.

The school the Burrow went to is close to where I grew up. They are in the same conference that I played in(we actually played against them but before Joe was in high school) small conference in southeast Ohio that doesn't put out much D1 talent but has had a few good ones the last few years. My guess is the level of competition just wasn't appealing but his stats were still ridiculous. Only real competition in my opinion that they faced was postseason. I'm happy to have him as a Buckeye though I believe OSU was his favorite growing up and bleeds scarlet and gray.

Agreed Pnuts. Pretty darn good game, playing behind an OL that was pretty much like a sieve. One time it looked like the DL got to Joey before the snap did......well, the thing that impressed me was that he didn't get 'happy feet' at the git-go, and held his poise in the pocket. Accurate, so the 67 TDs vs the 2 Ints may be very true. Good help by the WRs as well, which indicate (to me at least) that they have some faith in him as well. Believe that the pick that Baker made only enhanced Joey, as it was such a spectacular play. Comparison to Cardale w/o the big gun for an arm? Stands tall in pocket (cannot scramble much), or to Krenzel, mayhaps. Anyway, as the Buckeyes know, gotta go two and three deep with good quarterbacks to survive. Glad he's a Buckeye.
