QB Joe Burrow (transfer to LSU, 2019 Heisman Winner, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

Should have had a TD in there if the WR did not fumble it. But overall, I liked what I saw from him throwing the ball...not entirely thrilled with his athleticism when matched against more elite talent. I would like to see him have more evasiveness on plays that are not designed runs. I like that he is a throw-first QB but I wanted to see him extend plays better. That being said, I still think he can be a tremendous distributor of the ball in our system and am very, very high on Joe. Plus it is just one game and he had a tremendous senior year.

A Nebraska fan posted on the OSU 247 page that Beck may not have the best relationship with Burrow. Remember that Burrow is a legacy to Nebraska. I guess when he personally worked out at Nebraska looking for an offer Beck didn't offer him. Hopefully he's able to get the relationship there and keep him in the fold.

He also allegedly asked a stupid question of something to the effect of whether Burrow had any experience running a zone read offense indicating that Beck clearly hadn't watched any film.

This. Burrow isn't going anywhere.....
Got this from 11W, but i did know he posted there:

Joe Burrow's brother Jamie Burrow, who started for Nebraska as a Mike Linebacker back in 01, posts on Bucknuts, and this is what he had to say:

"Joe never worked out for Beck. He did an unofficial after his sophomore year. It was an underwhelming visit. There was not the recruitment of Joe from the staff you would think from having a Dad and 2 brothers play there, coupled with his ability. That about sums it up."

"Joe and my Dad are going to have to sit down with Urban and Beck and discuss a few things. I am sure the recruiting process with Joe and Nebraska will be a topic of discussion."

2) Moving to a second item on Tim Beck heading to Ohio State, as soon as the news broke I was in contact with both Joe Burrow and Torrance Gibson. Let’s start with Burrow. Burrow’s father and two brothers played for the Cornhuskers, but Burrow did not receive a Nebraska scholarship offer. As one source familiar with the situation told me, “Joe Burrow is a legacy and the Nebraska staff did not handle that situation very well.” Nebraska later tried to get back in, but it was too late.

As far as my contact on Sunday with Burrow, he did not want to go on record with a comment at this point. He also said he is still committed to Ohio State and would go on record with me soon. To be sure, Burrow and his family think very highly of Tom Herman. At one point Burrow had some questions he needed answered. He got all the right answers from Meyer when Burrow and his parents made their official visit to Ohio State the weekend of Dec. 12. It only stands to reason Burrow will have some additional questions now. But Burrow knows right now it is all about the Buckeyes winning a National Championship. Talking with Meyer and Beck will be addressed after Monday night’s National Championship game.

From his brother's post, it wasn't the lack of an offer more than they didn't treat him the way most legacy guys get treated.

"There was not the recruitment of Joe from the staff you would think from having a Dad and 2 brothers play there, coupled with his ability." Not many thought he had the ability as a Sophomore. From what I've read about Beck, he's like Warinner in that he's not going to blow smoke just to blow smoke.
