RB Daniel "Boom" Herron (Official Thread)

One thing that seems to have gotten lost in all the RB discussions is how good Herron has looked in the red zone so far. Over the last 4 games, he's got 5 TDs on 7 touches inside the 15 (only two of those were < 8yds). Those types of runs are going to be huge in games like Wisky and Iowa. It takes some pressure off Pryor, and adds another dimension to an already versatile red zone offense. I think Danny's gonna step it up a notch now that he's getting the ball from the get go. With this offense, he will not be asked to do much, but picking up key 1st downs and TDs will keep this team in control of games, no matter how many total yards he amasses.

EDIT: I hope he trucks the shit out of Valai.

The play that knocked Sanzo out of that game wasn't dirty. Sanzo just got crushed between two defenders. I believe the play that you're talking about is the play that concussed Boom. Hence, the "I hope he trucks Valai" comment from general.

good point, General, about the red zone production.

that's money, dude. Nice.

The other thing Boom is doing really nice this year is holding on to the ball. I don't have the stats, but I don't recall a fumble this year.

Carlos Hyde needs to pay attention to that.

We need to see more pictures like this for the rest of the season. Great black and white/color pic. I'd like to know how this is done. Sanzo pick anyone?
They add a color layer & black/white layer and then erase the edges to leave just boom in color.
