Scout lists Herron as having an offer from scUM, and he says he's interested because he's friends with Mario Manningham and Prescott Burgess is his cousin.

I second that. And on the posters on the Michigan board...the same guy said that the staff really didn't want Saine and now apparently Clifford wasn't that important to them either. Of course since Herron will probably pick OSU, scUM must not have wanted him. Anyone seeing a trend here?

I wouldn't go that far. Ohio State has come a LONG way with Boom, BUT they're not heads & shoulders above UM like most think. If that was the case, he would have committed already. He wants to get it over with, but he's just making sure that he makes the right decision. He has the two offers that he originally wanted, and now it's anybody's game.

do you think it's just damage control (if he goes to OSU) by GBW, when they claim he doesn't have an offer?

Maybe, but I couldn't tell you. I enjoy posting on GBW, so I won't start talking "negative" about their fans regardless of the circumstances. As a matter of fact, there are only a select few people that are really debating on whether or not Herron has an offer. All I can say is that I was told by Boom himself that he was offered by UM, so I posted the info on several boards. He has always kept me informed throughout the whole recruiting process and he has never lied about anything (nor does he have a reason to), so I go by his word.

No they are not...the people who post on the free BN board who know what is going on are saying that Dan wanted offers from OSU and Michigan and will make his decision based on those two. Worm has made that very clear. HotMic, who also posts on BP, has mentioned that things looks very good for OSU.
