RB Jaamal Berry (Transfer to Murray State)

Berry could play, too

Only Hyde and Rod Smith were available against Akron, but this week, along with Hall?s return, the Buckeyes also might see the season debut of Jaamal Berry.

Expected to compete with Hall for the starting job, Berry suffered a pulled hamstring that kept him out of practice last week.

?His hamstring is 100 percent,? Tressel said. ?The battle is going to be getting him game-ready. Jaamal hasn?t practiced for a couple of weeks. ... We?re working hard to have him game-ready ? scout team, kick return, everything with us on the offense.?

surprising they'd go to Tress for that comment, since he's such a liar and a sinner.

When I watched him last year, he seemed like the most explosive back on the roster, although most of his carries came in garbage time. I love his speed, shiftiness, and quickness coming out of the backfield. Other than his injuries, I'm curious as to why he hasn't seen more playing time. Hopefully his load will increase as the games go on...

I've been very impressed with Berry in his limited action. I would love to see him get about 10 touches this game, whether it be running or catching the ball. This guy's a special player. It's unfortunate that he has had so much trouble with his hammy.
