Well, I do, and so do most recruiting experts. But, hey, everyone's entitled to an opinion....but how many people honestly think that O'Neal is better than Manningham after what happened in September?

That's your opinion, but that's complete biase IMO. That matchup wasn't even close to say the very least. I guess that on-the-field performances don't matter anymore.LordJeffBuck said:Well, I do, and so do most recruiting experts. But, hey, everyone's entitled to an opinion....
First and foremost, you can't even compare WGH's schedule to Glenville's. While Glenville doesn't shy away from playing anybody (they have my respect for that), the Senate League has nothing on the Steel Valley Conference. In addition to that, WGH's 2004 schedule was ranked the 6th toughest in the nation by calpreps.com. Secondly, I know who Glenville played and I went to their last two playoff games. Like I said, I have a pretty good idea of who is better and it's not even close.CleveBucks said:Glenville played Mentor, Harding, and Buchtel in the regular season. They also played McKinley, Ed's, and Ignatius in the playoffs.
You're 0 for 2 on that one.LordJeffBuck said:Sounds like a disgruntled Michigan fan who is upset that the Glenville pipeline isn't running north anymore....
ONE on-the-field performance matters very little when trying to project which player will be the better for four years of college football. O'Neal is by far the superior athlete, and hence is a better PROSPECT than Manningham.I guess that on-the-field performances don't matter anymore.
Your Glenville bias is showing. If you claim to follow Glenville players so much, you would know that Ginn Sr. promotes his players. Even when Glenville wasn't a threat in Division 1, they were sending multiple players to college. Like I said, I give Ginn Sr. all the props in the world for promoting his athletes, but Rose got dominated in the WGH game and he didn't do much against Ignatius or Canton McKinley. Yes Glenville won those games, but Rose wasn't much of a factor. Big players show up in big games. He has the potential to be a big player, which is one of the reasons why Ohio State offered. Nobody ever said that Rose was "sorry" (although I never use that word to describe athletes, especially students), but Reed is more polished than Rose. Like I said, we'll find out in September who the man is.CleveBucks said:Not even close, yet one has an OSU offer and one has no offers? I think I know who's not even close. Don't let your WGH bias show so much next time.
I really didn't want to go here, but...LordJeffBuck said:ONE on-the-field performance matters very little when trying to project which player will be the better for four years of college football. O'Neal is by far the superior athlete, and hence is a better PROSPECT than Manningham.
BTW, you're one-for-four.
That would be nice.buckzip said:Let's just get them both, and be happy.
Eh good point...as you wereCleveBucks said:Nope... which is why we're not polluting the recruiting forum with this crap.

Worm=Tibor of the recruiting forum
Do we really need to debate here?

Worm would probably argue that his WGH homie Burgess would be starting at LB for the Bucks this year. WHG hasn't produced a legitimate star since Korey Stringer.
