Rutgers at tOSU, November 7th, 7 pm on BTN

I think a lot of it is effort. We know we’re lightyears ahead of Rutgers. Seeing a lot of guys half-assing is concerning though.

I’ll put it this way. Tonight is the first time since Urban retired that I kinda missed him. Hopefully Day and this team respond.
Ehhhhh Urban’s teams would half ass it a TON in certain games. Certainly not a unique phenomenon to Day.

Could be worse though. We could’ve been down to Citadel at half.

Precisely, it's not like handling Rutgers by 50 for the last 5 years was any indication of winning a championship. I also think people are selling the overall improvement at Rutgers short.
their improvement was obvious but the following concern me more then RU.
Miller bad bad game
Myers/Miller got handled much of the night.
Hooker struggled a ton, not an eraser.
Wade wasn't great.
We have an issue at CB

Good news is we have the best QB I have seen in 40 years of watching Bucks!

Yeah wade worries me beatean by far to pany jub balls acts like he's trying to pick them off instead of just making the easy knock it away play.

Yeah I know. Not really what I meant, Day is just new, and I know how Urban teams respond to poor efforts. They come out and wreck face. Not an indictment of Day just more of an unknown.

Plenty to improve on defensively, but I’m not going to be infuriated by a team that ran gimmick plays to have any sort of success on offense. Need to clean some things up, would also like to see some tighter coverage on zone plays, don’t like seeing players 9 yards off the LOS giving up play after play into the flat.

Offensively, pretty damn good. OL needs to continue to improve as a unit. Miller had a rough night, but he’ll bounce back from this.

Next week should be fun.

More concerned about the shaky tackling and communication in the secondary and the inconsistent interior o-line play than any Pop Warner trick play BS. There’s no home run hitter at running back but it is what it is.

There’s legitimate concerns but the mark of a playoff team is how much they improve week to week. Just gotta keep grinding.

A reminder to say fuck Alex Grinch... he truly left us high and dry with just getting 1 recruit. Just no depth.

That said, I suppose this is what happens when you losing 2 first round corners and two top tier lineman.

I kind of wish we would put Wade back inside and Werner back at Will. You know those two rock those positions. When you already have so much turnover why create more?

We could've used the returning players on a unit that had lost so much. IMO we made our situation even worse by flipping around a few kids to positions they hadn't really played.
