Rutgers Scarlet Knights (official troll of PedSU)

Some athletes assume they can fight due to their skillset on the field/court/pitch. Hope that guy is okay. It looked like he has been watching too many fight videos on the WWW with his pull up the pants, stance, and lack of reaction to the thrown punch [edit: it appears he got countered while throwing a slow punch].

And that is a very Jersey video.
Supposedly home now recovering
“Apparently there were some words exchanged between Carnell and some other older guy,” Ford said in the post, which 247Sports has edited here for clarity due to typos. “The guy provoked Carnell by saying sexual harassment things to Carnell about his mom. Carnell obviously questioned him on it. The guy initiated the first move hands on with a shove. Carnell responded by defending himself with hands up. The guy throws one punch and knocks Carnell flat out, smashing his head on the pavement. He ended up in the hospital, in a coma, last night with a fractured skull and bleeding of the brain.”

I hope he's okay, but he's a moron. You got a full ride to a Big Ten school, and you're going to risk it to get in someone's face because he made a comment about your mom? Not great decision making.
Eh it depends. Was he talking trash or someone actually sexually harassing his mom. The first walk away the 2nd learn to fight better

I read it as the first. I stand by the statement either way. You're a D1 athlete who should leave school at the very least with a quality degree. You don't need to escalate a situation and end up with an assault or manslaughter charge, or to get jumped by some white trash posse with who knows what weapons.

A WILD SCARLET TROLL APPEARS

It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for the Penn State faithful. Greg Schiano scored a commitment from a top Nittany Lion target in four-star linebacker Moses Walker out of Brooklyn's Erasmus Hall High School. Schiano now has six four-star commitments; four of which are ranked inside the national top 250. For those keeping track at home, that's twice as many as the Wolverines currently have.

Shoutout to Mr. Walker for putting together a nice little troll job in his commitment video. Tagging James Franklin and other PSU staff members took it to another level.

Rutgers suspends CBs Max Melton, Chris Long after paintball gun incident
By The Athletic Staff

Rutgers suspended starting cornerback Malachi "Max" Melton and reserve Chris Long after they were taken into police custody Tuesday morning for what coach Greg Schiano said was an “incident involving a paintball gun.” The Scarlet Knights will play at No. 19 Michigan on Saturday.

“I was informed that Chris Long and Malachi Melton were taken into police custody early this morning as a result of an incident involving a paintball gun,” Schiano said in a statement. “Both players have been suspended immediately.”

In his second season, Melton has two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, plus a blocked punt and four pass breakups amid Rutgers’ 3-0 start, which includes wins against Temple, Syracuse and Delaware. Long has yet to record a tackle in 2021.

Oversight committee to discuss Rutgers Scarlet Knights as possible Gator Bowl opponent for Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Rutgers is expected to receive the first opportunity to replace Texas A&M and face Wake Forest in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

The NCAA Division I Football Oversight Committee will meet Thursday and determine the policy for a bowl replacement opponent for Wake Forest among the 5-7 teams. If the committee leans heaviest on Academic Progress Rate, Rutgers would be the first option because it has the highest score.
