watched Russell for 3 years, and watched Mallett warm up last night.

Mallett does have one hell of an arm. Was throwing about 45 yards or so on a line in warm ups (into the wind) with a slight crow hop in his windup.

I've seen Russell get down on one knee at midfield and throw it through the uprights.

I don't know if anyone was watching the end of this game, but Erin Andrews sort of bitch-slapped Mallett in OT. She was reporting on the mood of the Arkansas sideline as LSU was driving down to try and tie the game to send it to OT, and she said that all the Arkansas players were high-fiving and celebrating and that "Mallett looked over at me and said 'I told you so'...of course I don't know what he told me since he hasn't spoken to me all week, but he apparently thought they had this game won already"...about 90 seconds later Shankapotamus missed the FG and they lost, and the camera panned to Mallett...who looked like he had just seen Chris Hanson right there on the sideline :lol:

Yup, she called him out...which I thought was appropriate in this case as Mallett wasn't prepared for the inevitable. Mallett's got quite a bit of talent, but as with many young kids, he's got some growing up to do.

Ryan Mallett doesn't need to go to the NFL workouts. He just throws a copy of his highlight dvd to every team office like a Frisbee. If you doubt Mallett's power just look what he single-handedly did to scum before he left.
