Sure do, some just are bigger ones than others...so let's try this again, since giving an opinion is so taboo for this factual forum....Eric Smith has .087% more talent than Arnette based on an athletic ability matrix stat, that I made up, so that my opinion can be more factual and therefore I will be allowed to post an opinion, because god forbid someone should be allowed to post an opinion....

Also, Arnette is playing nickel back, which would not be a very good fit for Smith. Covering Austin Carr with Erick Smith is not going to end well.

Just feel like having watched him play, mostly in high school, he is very athletic and has a nose for the ball much like Hooker, just seems to make plays....guess if healthy,
all I'm saying is I would like to to see him on the field and possibly be a Hooker 2.0 type player....Lattimore is a good corner and I have always thought Smith was a better player than even he was....just saying I like the kid, think he could help....

A lot of guys look good in HS. He's played safety at OSU. There's no need to guess or extrapolate. You could watch him play at this level where his athleticism is no longer superior to almost everyone he faces. That playing time came before the injury as well.

Hooker was a monster athlete that could jump out of the gym (like Lattimore). He was just ultra raw having barely played the sport. I don't think Smith has shown that kind of explosiveness.

Many folks here watched him in HS and hoped he'd be the next quality safety at OSU. Did we hope he'd be better than Damon Webb has been? Yes, but when he's been on the field, the results have said otherwise. At the time, that was okay because he was a wide eyed youngster playing sparingly. Now that he still has not separated himself and had to come back from a severe injury, it does not look good.

I see a smoother athlete than Damon Webb but nowhere near the explosion of Hooker (which is not a criticism, few can explode like him)

I seem to recall seeing him a few times in garbage time in 2015 but I'm not sure about that. There's also the matter of whether he's still the same athlete.
