S Zach Domicone (Official Thread)

I don't care if he grows to 240, if he maintains his speed and instincts, keep him at safety. I hate it when folks say "If <insert name> gets bigger, he can move to <insert position>". I see a possible Caucasian Sean Taylor here...

Pure conjecture on how this sort of thing might happen -

First, a coach or two sees a kid who is under the radar and slip him in their back pocket so they don't create a stir and generate interest from others.

Then we get to this time of year where transfers and early draft entries become clear - making extra ships available.

Pelini jumps the gun and the others reach into that back pocket.

Pelini leads with the King, Stoops follows with the Ace and JT plays trump.

Just watched his video and was extremely impressed. Not hard to see why he got his offers...size, speed, and an extremely heady player. I wondered why we offered Domicone with so few spots left but 6'3 215 lb. players that can move like that always are welcome at OSU. On defense, he reminded me '07 PSU commit Andrew Dailey quite a bit. I definetly see Zach ending up on defense but he is a very explosive player and I like him at safety right now, but he is definetly versatile enough to play LB and could outgrow safety.

He ruined our senior night this year by making great play after great play. there was this one time when he was playing safety where he read the comeback route perfectly, came halfway across the fild and snagged the ball right on the sideline and still had the presence of mind to try and get his feet in bounds. Made me go wow, maybe I'm just easily impressed. Then a month later there was a dodgeball tournament at his church and his team beat us in that too. So basically I'm excited Zach's on my side now.

This former Battling Beaver sure would like to see just one Beavercreek guy play at tOSU. The only guy that went on to do anything when I was in school was a kicker that went to TSUN. The DDN article has him listed as a commit - hopefully that sticks. Go Bucks!

Excellent analogy! We are out Ohio-ing the other Ohioans. Are all the good college coaches from Ohio I wonder?

Zach's highlights

Most of his highlights are on offense. He separated his non-throwing shoulder midway thru the year and was used more sparingly on defense. As someone else posted early, he was pretty much a one-man band on offense. They lost their big running back last year. I've covered him since pee-wee football and knew he had several of the smaller schools looking at him. Pics from last year at www.sspics.fototime.com
