San Francisco 49ers (official thread)

5 years / $137.5M / $74M guaranteed. 7 career starts.
Seems crazy, but it would be an all-time fluke to take a team that was 1-10 and win 5 straight with detritus around him...and he beat some good teams. Watching the film, he certainly looked like the real deal...made big time throws and his decision making was excellent. Plus, got a team of losers to totally buy in. They had no choice but to pay him. Anyway, that contract will look like a bargain over tbe next year as qb salaries continue to balloon.

I'm not knocking it, it's just wild to see. I'd be surprised if Cousins doesn't have a $30M/year offer right now. This after a season where Blake Bortles, Case Keenum, and Nick Foles made the final four.

That being said, Dak had two great 5-game stretches in 2016, albeit with a much better team around him. Life comes at you fast in the NFL.

I've been really impressed with Lynch as a GM. Made some good moves last offseason, solid draft, went out got Jimmy G and locked him up, now bringing in Sherman who should have a couple of good years left. Plus, York seems to be taking a back seat, which is key.
Yep, if someone had said Sherman will go to SF 2 years ago, they’d check that person into a home. A whole lot has changed, seemingly all of it good.
