If you can recreate the blue screen error, do so, and then write down the entire phrase following "STOP ERROR" (it should look something like 0x000000xx). Sometimes you might have to hit "pause" on your keyboard to keep it around long enough before rebooting. Then post that error code. There are ways of looking up those codes online that will tell you everything you need to know. I had a mysterious blue screen with a computer I built at work, and it turned out to be a bad stick of ram - I found out by looking up the code.
