The best builder? It took him 7 seasons to finally win a B1G title and 9 to finally win a national title. But yea he’s clearly the best team builder ever to grace the sport. You ain’t getting 7-9 years in the NFL to finally build a winner.

Didn't Jimbo think he had the job locked up? Didn't it seem like the Vikings were just jerking him around? It would be great if that's what the NFL teams are doing again. Like they all got on a conference call last off-season and collectively said,

"Look, this guy is weird. However, it also draws a lot of publicity if someone 'interviews' him. So, let's agree to never actually hire this clown. If he wants to keep trying to get back into the NFL, fine. Whoever needs a HC can interview him just for the entertainment. Or just assign some low-level staffer to conduct the 'interview' to appease him and get the clicks. Agreed?"

I thought the Vikings guy was definitely fucking with Simple Jim because he'd been in the SF front office when Harbaugh turned everything toxic. Broncos were generally interested, but Simple Jim wanted a coronation. When Denver said they had a process to go through, Simple Jim pulled his name out in a huff.

No you don't; but it is a lot easier to build a contenter in the NFL than it is in the NCAA due to the primary way the teams acquire their players. In the NCAA you have to compete with all the other teams for a given player in the recruiting process; and then you still have to keep the player happy or he will go into the transfer portal. In the NFL you just draft the players; all teams have equal access to everyone still undrafted when they have their pick(s) with the worst teams getting the earlier picks. Once they drafted and sign a player, the team has exclusive rights to that player for 4 or 5 years before the player can become a free agent. The amount they sign a player for is pretty much set by the NFLPA labor agreement. In addition, the NFL teams can even trade players to improve their team without the players consent. In the NCAA getting players frequently depends on how much NIL money is available and it is definitely not equal among all the schools. In the NFL the teams are fully funded (primarily by TV contracts) and they are limited on how much you can offer any free agent based on the "salary cap" and in the NFL a team can even prevent a player from leaving by designating him as a "franchise player" .

Yep.

He didn't look so hot, pre-Stalions. IMO, Harbaugh wanting an NFL job was the biggest reason he turned to Stalions, not winning an NC for the alama mater. He couldn't care less about that, except for how it helps him.

He didn’t make errors in big games. He made plays with his legs and his arm. I don’t see him as a pro qb, more like Randell El with Pittsburgh who could play rb, receiver, or pull up and throw from an rpo. or the kid from Colorado who had some good years in the pros doing much the same. Kids a very good athlete.

I don't even know where to begin with this. I disagree with every sentence. He threw a should-be INT on his first pass of the Rose Bowl. What fucking plays did he make with his arm? That 2 yard out pass to an uncovered Corum on 4th down in the Rose Bowl? He doesn't have a lick of either of Kordell or Randle El's athleticism. He's Trevor Lawrence with half the football IQ

I think the dude is weird, but he has been successful everywhere he has been. Call it luck, call it good coaching, cheating, call it whatever but the guy knows what he is doing. He did well at San Diego. Took Stanford from the graveyard to a top 10 team. Had close to a 70% win percentage in the NFL which is nothing to slack about. He just won a title at Michigan for a school that doesn't even get the same talent as Georgia, Alabama, etc. If he wasn't such a retard and pain in the ass, he would probably already have a job in the NFL.
