So... what's up with the new advertising?

No intrusive ads and the sites been blazing for about a week with the changes.

Good Job, C.

Danke. I wish I had done the iframe wraps ages ago. With Valueclick out and some higher end networks in, I've been content with the quality of the bulk ads for the last few days (at least for the off-season). I am looking forward to getting back to focused and relevant placements.

Thanks back to you for suggesting I take the leap on 16gb of RAM. I had every intention of just replacing the 2gb that went bad. While I was a bit spooked about dropping a grand on memory, I *love* what it's done for the site, and feel great about being sort of future proof on that end of the hardware. Now that the drives from the old machine are in there too, we have an extra ~50gb of drive space meaning I've got rolling mysqlhotcopy backups on a different array going back days and days, and the database is sitting on it's own nicely sized partition. Furthermore, I'm having a mysqldump created and bzip2'd now and again that I download here to my own machine as a 3rd and final layer of safety. Quite an upgrade from the old situation, which was me connecting to the machine, manually doing a dump like once a month, and having it on the same drive as the database itself.

From a hardware perspective, I haven't been happier about where we stand since we originally bought this machine. Now if I can just make the transition to vB 3.7.2 PL1, vbSEO 3.2, and bring Vivvo and the blogs online -- we are really going to be full bore ready for the season around here.

:groove: Not entirely sure what all that means, but it sounds awesome.

Did you get a URL (by mousing over the ad) or a screenshot of it? With several different networks being funneled through one company, I need as much info as I can get that can lead them to the problem ad. I can't just describe what it was to them, unfortunately.

There definitely shouldn't be any auto-streaming audio, so this is an ad we can nuke if we get some data for it. I'll reload some pages for a while and see if I can find it. If anyone else stumbles upon it, post intel here.
