I've been wanting to get busy but fallout has me hooked. Tried playing a bit last night but got merked so fast o got pissed and switched back to ruling the Commonwealth with an iron fist.

Re-upped on PTO today and had to leave work to hit the ER. Took a few days off so I'm sure I'll be playing at some point. I added you VG so we'll fuck some shit up soon I'm sure. But tbh, I'm shit at it so far.

Everyone sucks at first it seems. I was lucky to get 4 or 5 kills for every 20 - 25 deaths most of the first two or three weeks. I had a 0.2x kill to death ratio after a month. I got it up above one finally. You get better with time.

The grind to get some weapons and star cards and trait cards takes some time. That may be a little different after they nerfed many of the star cards and some of the better weapons now.

Play fighter squadron to get easy credits and unlock stuff. It is fun too.

Don't buy the guns at first. The standard AC280 for the Rebels and E11 for the Empire are good enough, in particular after the nerfs.

Do buy a trait card ASAP. Get scout, you won't show up on radar and will be harder to kill as a result.

Do buy the Jump Pack, Pulse Cannon, Explosive Shot, Scan Pulse, and Personal Shield Cards ASAP. Buy a grenade too.

Do check out the partner's hand before spawning in. They probably have better cards to play than you starting out.

Had my best game ever right before dinner tonight. Playing Turning Point. Hit the first line and got 4 or 5 kills without dying. Captured the point without dying. Got the air speeder pickup without getting sniped (Pro Tip: save your jump pack, get the pick up / power up, then jump but don't jump out of bounds, you can activate the pick up while jump packing and being a hard target; this way they can't just pick you off while activating). When I first died after some serious strafe runs, I checked the score. I had 69 kills and just the one death when they finally shot me out of the sky. I couldn't get back in my plane and somehow we lost. I ended up going 85 kills and 5 deaths or some shit like that. Next game as the Rebels, exact opposite. I went 1 kill and 14 deaths as we just got smoked. I don't think I even approached the front line. Probably needed Winslow sniping to clear me some space to attack. My team just sucked that game, though so did I. Still fun though.

Turning Point is the best objective game mode there is in my opinion. Right now it is only on the one board Jakku so it is easy to get good at it too. It is amazing how much good cover there is when you learn the board. They are adding all the other maps to Turning Point in February along with a second map on Hoth, so by the time that comes out you won't be bored playing the best mode.

Winslow invited me on earlier, but I am having chick night on the big screen. Some show about arranged marriages. Lots of shows about marriage on lately. Probably not the best sign. Fortunately she isn't even legally divorced yet so plenty of time there.

I will likely be on after this crap and potentially some more crap on TV. Guessing 11 - 12 range. I am not working tomorrow either as a traditional holiday. Always have skipped signing day (and draft day way back when you had to to see it) so I will be on late tonight I am sure.

Thumb is feeling pretty good today. Felt like a bitch Sunday with a video game injury, but man you just aren't supposed to press down on shit that long. I'd shave off the back of the controller too. I got big meaty hands and some of the non trigger fingers need to bend uncomfortably to grip the controller due to the housing around the trigger buttons.

Never played Cargo once even. Someday I am sure. I used to like the plant the bomb / defuse the bomb missions back in the day on Counterstrike and imagine it is similar.

Haven't played Hero Hunt either. Only played H vs V for the first time Saturday. Never played Droid Run either. Mainly Fighter Squadron and Turning Point for me. I like Supremacy too, but seem to suck at it for whatever reason. Can't wait for more Turning Point maps end of the month.

I like Drop Zone of the smaller modes. Played it in the beta so familiar with it. Haven't played the team death match mode Blast in a long while due to sucking when I tried. I hate being a drag on my team.

Funny, I was trolling with emotes earlier on Turning Point.

Second line after the first line collapses. Playing as the Empire. I like to camp out on that hill above the more closed point (defending left, attacking right). I sit behind that wall and my minimap will let me know if anyone is approaching my zone (unless they are Scout trait and then I will still know if they are taking over the control point). I like to pop out behind the wall and do my Tusken Raider emote and get all the snipers to stop and try and shoot me before I duck back behind cover.

That is a good camp spot as you can snipe the other control point (defending left) from there too.

You got Xbox TooTall? Got a gamertag?

Hopping online here soon. RapidPup3344838 though it used to be BIATCHabutuka until we beat Michigan this year and someone complained. . . . .

Yeah, my gamertag is Expired Pot. I added you. I've made it through many gamertags, but my recent offensive political gamertag venture was frowned upon by Xbox so much that I woke up one day to find my gamertag was SadisticCub1985. They told me they've made me change my gamertag so much that I could potentially be subjected to bans, so I went with a more mild tag.

And Cargo is essentially Capture the Flag. 6v6 so it's easier to manage teams. We usually keep two people back to defend, and four attacking the opposing team's flag. Once we score a flag to take the lead, we balance it more with three defending and three attacking.

I recently got booted from Live. It was dumb. My card expired. I updated the card. They sent me a receipt saying paid. 18 days later I bought the season pass for star wars. No issues. About a week or three after that, I got kicked off for non payment. Now I used to have two accounts, so I just thought it was an old account that wouldn't process my old card and ignored their repeated emails, afterall, I had a paid receipt.

Turns out that I needed to not only update my card, but make it my primary card to renew Live, yet not to buy the season pass. Whatever, stupid, but oh well.

So I called in. Took the dude about a half hour to convince me that I haven't paid despite my receipt. Reminded me of Clarity's issues with Dell kind of. Dude started pissing me off. Easy task I guess, but hey, I did nothing wrong, they were just too stupid to run the updated card. I asked for some free months credit. No dice. I decided I would waste this guys time and started asking him questions about support for the Zune and dumb shit like that. Went into refunding the DLC if I wanted to. Really just trying to waste his time as much as he wasted mine in getting my paid service restored.

Eventually I asked him what if the migrants eat all the programmers at Dice Sweeden and the DLC never comes out, then could I get a refund. I don't think Habib liked that one and that ended my tech no support session.

I figured that was you that popped up on my screen. Going to hop on here in a minute and play for an hour or so before crashing and unwrapping gifts in the morning. Go Bucks.

Haha that's great. And my friend had a similar issue to yours. I don't know if I'll be on tonight, but I think I'll definitely be on tomorrow.

A buddy of mine is just starting out (level 9). He's one of the best bad company 2 players in the world and is all sorts of awful so far. I'm near 2x K:biggrin: and rising, but I was a solid 0.3-0.5 starting out, and always in the bottom 5-7 names on the board. IT gets better

Agreed. I love the Bounty Hunter because I get showered in power ups for defeating enemies, but you have to outpace your deaths (which you won't do early on without guns)

I can't bring myself to buy the personal shield. It's extremely useful and long lasting, but it's so cheap. That said, my complaints about the overpowered A-wings tend to disappear when an A-wing launch token appears in front of me, so maybe I should get over myself and start using it.
Do check out the partner's hand before spawning in. They probably have better cards to play than you starting out.
Yup, the only limitation is the center card as you'll only get one, but it's still worth it starting out.

I'm adjusting my style a bit. With the explosive nerf on the EE-3, I've switched to the t21b, which is lethal long range but so sluggish short range. I can't use the DL-44. Everyone loves to over use it but it's just not my gun. I find the E-11 is a pretty solid all around gun. It's slower at killing guys when you have the jump on them but it's probably the best gun for aggressive spraying, like in Endor with enemies popping out of nowhere from behind trees and above.

Second. Screens. Put it on the coffee table next to you, and a 27" LED monitor (which is removable for company/parties) is the same size visually as a 60" screen across the room where the main TV sits.

Then your lady can binge watch Hulu or whatever while you game. Plus then when you do want to watch something, it's an easy request since you rarely dominate the big screen selection.

Kyle, drop me a friend request. UPS.7, without the period.

Same here. Heroes vs Villains is fun for the novelty of being the heroes, but it gets old quickly. I need to try Droid, Cargo, Hunt and Drop Zone.

I think it is down to $30 bucks now.

Well worth the $30.

I don't use shield much, but since the nerf have played with it. It is interesting.

I am aggressive and like to attack the control points. Often I make my attack only to die only to spawn back in and finally see my team capping the point with 4 or 5 guys. At least they came in and held a little after I clear it out. The shield lets me hop in and fight and when overwhelmed I pop that shield and it is annoying and distracting. That moment is often enough to have several teammates run into the action and provide a target besides myself just before the shield wears off. Shield is nice for crossing wide open spaces without cover too. I have been playing with a grenade in my loadout for after I use the shield. The grenades suck or I do or both, but there is potential there. The only other attack while in your shield is the melee. It is much improved in the nerf and I often can get a melee kill after surprising the enemy with my shield while they fumble with the button. I mapped mine to the B button (I think it is called alternate in controller settings, better than having crouch on your B as it is generally useless unless camping.

When I pop that bubble shield at the last control point, I often try and run to the steel cage thing and get under it. People hate you under there. If I am really on my game, I can hop on top of those large boxes near that steel cage thing on the last point. If I miss, I just hide under the steel cage thing. On the attacking right there is one double stacked set of large boxes with one single stacked in front of it. If you jump pack and land on that single stack, you can hug up against the double stack and have great cover in a place nobody is looking. You are exposed from the steel cage side, so face that and just pick off people as they funnel back into the zone. Great fun.

If you suck, you will, play some Turning Point with either Winslow or me. Both of us know that board really well. There are great camping sites at each control point that once you learn will mask any learning curve that may turn you off the game.

Once you start to roll people, tons of fun.

Little kids seem to universally love Heroes Vs Villains. I always have a hard time joining Jack for a game when we play because until we start playing together, he is always on HvV. You get to be a hero every other turn and get to play as all the heroes. I can see the appeal. It does get boring though.

Who is in this weekend ? Hopping on shortly and should be on tomorrow too.
Watching a frustrating Cavs game at the moment.

I should be on late tonight and a bunch this weekend. Maybe we can get the 4 -5 guys here that play together even. . . .

Tomorrow afternoon I should be on as well. Nephew has been looking for me past couple of days. If you see me in heroes vs. villains, that is why.

Anyone punk that one Xbone dude into buying this yet. Can't be much of a real Xbone man if you won't play some Battlefront.

Been playing around with some new cards and strategies. Nothing good, but lots of fun with the variety.

Tried sniping, just can't do it. Way too passive. Been playing with the smoke grenade and then mixing up my defensive strategy. Playing up and away from the control points some instead of waiting for them to come to me.

Smoke grenades are all kinds of fun.
