Tajh Boyd (official thread)

Not to detract the attention away from Tajh, but I was cruising through the Virginia Preps website over on Rivals for possible 2010 targets now that it seems we are making more of an effort to enter the state, and came across what appears to be Tajh's brother, Tim. Now his dad is also Tim, and it is the same high school (Phoebus) in Hampton, so Iwould say 99% certain this is Tajh's younger brother.

'10 VA DB Tim Boyd, Jr.

5'10" 185lbs 4.6 forty

Not sure how good he is, but solid measureables for a Junior right now, great athletic genes, and he plays on a top 3 HS team in the country (again, according to Rivals HS football rankings), so I would venture to guess he will be a target by many schools next year. Not enough infor his own thread, but a name to keep in mind.

Safety prospect...not sure he is a BCS offer-type kid at this point but we shall see.
Yeah I read a writeup in a review of some underclassmen over there and it said he doesn't have the hips to play corner, but needs to grow a bit to play Safety. Also said he needs improvement on his coverage skills. You never know, though, just though it was interesting since I hadn't heard about Tajh having a younger brother until I ran across him in their database.

It's too bad we couldn't get Boyd in for his visit this weekend with all the commits and other recruits we have coming in. Reading the recent updates, it looks like PSU is out of the picture. They must feel confident about their chances Newsome. If not, they're pretty much screwed!
