Keith Jackson called it the best college football venue he's seen when he did our opener with Washington last season. Seeing as he's been broadcasting college football games for decades and has been to every major college football stadium in the country, including South Bend, I'd say he's pretty qualified to make that statement. No doubt that, after the latest renovations, Ohio Stadium is the finest college football stadium bar none.

Yeah, I'd believe a senile addled retard like Jackson. If that statement had been made when his brain hadn't turned to mush, it would mean something.

Idunno. Playing in Hawaii must be a nice gig. Nice weather, convenient team to steamroll... you know how it is.

The (soon to be) Mrs. informs me that I'll be looking for a job in Hawaii when I finally get done with school. I can see it now. My lovely, tan family bumming around on the beach all day, while their pasty lab-rat dad is footing the bills. But then I think of all the lovely students I'd potentially have running around, and I feel that it might just be worth it.

For anyone who's wondering, I am kidding about that student thing. The only thing I do to my undergrads is convince them to go to grad school/med school at OSU (I've gotten 2 in the past year... go me.:))

Oh. and I do mean COLLEGE students... you sickos.

Plus, you'll get to hang out with Mili on gameday and pound Black & Tan's as the Bucks pound their ooponents.

Yeah, you're right...he's only a frickin' television sportscasting icon who makes more money broadcasting while in semi-retirement than you'll make in your life. As of what you say hear has impact on anything, Rashmish.

Yeah, we all remember Jackson's great Fiesta Bowl appearance. It was almost as good as Kressel's.

And just how does that reinforce that idea ?? Unless jlb has been to many other stadiums he has no basis to say that and many articles say "THE SHOE" is not even a top 5 stadium.
Well, besides Ohio Stadium, here's where I've been:

Carter-Finley Stadium - NC State
Memorial Stadium - Illinois
Memorial Stadium - Indiana
Beaver Stadium - Penn State
M*ch*g*n Stadium - scUM
Ross-Ade Stadium - Purdue
Camp Randall Stadium - Wisconsin
Ryan Field - Northwestern
Commonwealth Stadium - Kentucky
Neyland Stadium - Tennessee
Ben Hill Griffin Stadium - Florida
Sanford Stadium - Georgia
Ball State Stadium - Ball State
Doyt L. Perry Stadium - Bowling Green
Fred Yager Stadium - Miami University
Glass Bowl - Toledo
Nippert Stadium - Cincinnati
Papa John's Cardinal Stadium - Louisville

Of course I haven't been to every college stadium, but I think I've seen enough to back up my statement. Based on my experiences, Ohio Stadium boasts an unbeaten combination of beauty, capacity, setting, tradition, atmosphere, and amenities.
